Destiny 2 Memory Pursuit - How to Find Omar Agah's Knives

Each week since Destiny 2 Shadowkeep’s launch, Eris Morn has offered us a Memory Pursuit quest. These tasks are tied to lost members of her former fireteam, and completing each one will reward you with powerful gear as well as a little information from Eris herself. Oh, and each one dispels one of the Nightmares tormenting Eris, too. The last Memory Pursuit will be on the week of Halloween, which is also the week that the Shadowkeep dungeon launches.

This week’s Memory Pursuit tasks Guardians with recovering the memory of Omar Agah, a Hunter who seems to have had the roughest time of any of Eris’s old friends. Captured by the Hive, he was literally eaten alive by their babies. Dark stuff, but now I’m wondering what baby Hive look like. Anyway, Omar was a hunter, so we’re going to be tracking down his knives.

Defeat a Powerful Hive Wizard With a Super

This first step is easy. Head to the K1 Revelation Lost sector and proceed until you reach a shielded crystal. Defeat all the nearby Hive, after which a powerful Wizard will appear. Make sure to get the finishing blow with your super, and you’ll get Some of Omar Agah’s Knives.

Get Precision Kills on Powerful Enemies or Guardians With Bows or Sniper Rifles

For this step, you need to recover more of Omar Agah’s knives. You’ll do this by getting precision kills with Bows or Sniper Rifles. How does that manifest a dead Guardian’s knives? Uh, a Wizard did it.

You’ve got two options here. One is to farm powerful enemies in PVE, and the other is to just hop into the Crucible (Guardian kills in Gambit count too, but that’ll take longer). If you’re confident with your sniping skills, the Crucible route is probably faster because Guardians are guaranteed to drop the knives you need. But if not, load up the Leviathan Raid — preferably with a loadout consisting solely of bows and sniper rifles. (Want that shiny new Exotic Heavy Bow? We’ve got a guide for that.)

Use your sniper rifles and bows to take out the Loyalist Cabal with precision shots. When they’re dead, load back in. Unfortunately, you’re not guaranteed to get a drop from powerful enemies, so this might take you a few runs. There are other areas in the game (e.g. Escalation Protocol) where there are more powerful enemies running around, but the Leviathan is still probably best because you can load in solo and your enemies can’t really fight back. It took me four runs to get all 20 knives.

Return to Eris Morn

Once you’ve got Omar’s knives back, return to the Moon. Head into the portal in the Sanctuary and follow your quest marker to find Eris wondering whether she could have saved her friend. Give her the knives, but don’t grab your reward from the chest right away. Instead, talk to Eris a couple more times to get some more information about Omar and her fireteam. You’ll know you can’t get any more when Eris warps away, back to her usual spot. Take your reward and you’re done this Memory Pursuit!
