Destiny 2 Occluded Finality Guide - How to Get It & the God Roll

Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer is here and it’s time to elevate your fashion game. Along with new weapons, a 6 player activity, armor, story missions, and season pass, the heavily requested armor transmogrification feature is finally arriving. In this season, players will team up with the Fallen Captain Mithrax to stop the Vex from plunging Earth into total darkness. Of course, the main thing you care about is getting all that sweet, sweet loot. For those who prefer PVP, there are Iron Banner weapons you can hunt down. While two of them are currently bugged, one you can grind for right now is the Occluded Finality sniper rifle.

How to Get the Occluded Finality

To get the Occluded Finality, you will need to dive into the Iron Banner Crucible activity. This only appears a few times throughout the season and lasts one week at a time. You can get Occluded Finality by completing the second step of the Iron Banner quest, completing Iron Banner matches, or turning in Iron Banner tokens for packages. Remember, tokens cannot be turned into Saladin until you finish the entire Iron Banner quest. Even though this may take a bit of time, the quest’s progress will be carried over to each Iron Banner throughout the season. Once you finish the quest, you can turn in your tokens to, hopefully, get a good roll of the Occluded Finality.

Occluded Finality God Rolls

Occluded Finality PVE God Roll

  • Fluted Barrel
  • Appended Mag or Extended Mag
  • Auto-Loading Holster
  • Vorpal Weapon

Unlike a few other sniper rifles, the Occluded Finality really only has one really good PVE roll. This is mainly due to its low perk pool and being a PVP weapon. In the first slot, we are running Fluted Barrel to give us a nice boost to our stability and handling speed. As for the magazine, either Appended or Extended will work as we want to boost our weapon’s base clip size of three. However, since we’re going to utilizing Auto-Loading Holster we can circumvent the longer reload penalty that’s given by Extended Mag. It’s not a big deal if you get Appended Mag instead, but you’ll definitely want a way to increase your magazine capacity.

As for our primary perks, the only two worthwhile choices are Auto-Loading Holster and Vorpal Weapon. These two combined allow us to fire our magazine into a boss, swap to another weapon, damage the boss, then swap back to keep firing. It will make our damage numbers more consistent and is especially nice against champions in higher tier activities.

Occluded Finality PVP God Roll

  • Corkscrew Rifling or Extended Barrel
  • Ricochet Rounds
  • Snapshot Sights
  • Opening Shot

If you are looking for a PVP roll, you are going to want to try and max out this weapon’s range stat without too many penalties. We can do this by running Corkscrew Rifling or Extended Barrel to boost our range stat, along with Ricochet Rounds in the magazine. The latter will also give us an increase in stability and a very, very slim chance of killing someone if a bullet bounces off a surface. The primary perk combo is Snapshot Sights and Opening Shot, which is everything you want on a PVP sniper. Not only will this duo allow us to engage targets quickly, but it ensures our first shot will be as accurate as possible. Alternatively, if you are confident in your aim then Vorpal Weapon can be nice if you want to take down Guardians in their Supers.
