How to Obtain
You’ll be able to get the Retold Tale after completing Dreaming City activities. These include the Blind Well, the Shattered Throne dungeon, Ascendant Challenge chests, and Season of the Wish activities.
About Retold Tale
The Retold Tale is a Legendary Void shotgun that has the Precision Frame archetype. This makes Retold Tale’s recoil pattern more predictably vertical. It also possesses the Advanced Reflexes origin trait that grants mobility, handling, and charge rate bonuses after taking damage, aiming down sights, or guarding quickly.
Retold Tale PVE God Roll
Retold Tale features a trait pool that does not necessarily make it shine in PVE compared to other shotguns. Barrel Shroud increases its stability and handling speed while Assault Mag increases its stability and rounds per minute. The Slideshot trait partially reduces the Retold’s Tale after sliding while boosting its range and stability, and One-Two Punch grants you a melee damage boost after hitting an enemy with every one of the shotgun’s pellets. Overall, not a fantastic combination of traits.

Retold Tale PVP God Roll
Retold Tale makes a more than decent roll for PVP. Rifled Barrel increases its range while sacrificing a bit of handling while the Accurized Rounds further increase its range, which is very important for the limited range of a shotgun. The Quickdraw and Snapshot combination will make the difference in PVP encounters. The first increases the weapon’s draw speed while the second reduces the time it takes to aim down sights.
