Destiny 2 Sails of the Shipstealer is the storyline quest corresponding to Season of Plunder. In order to start the Destiny 2 Sails of the Shipstealer quest, you first need to complete a series of steps:
- Complete the introductory quest called Salvage and Salvation
- Once you’re in free roam again, head over to where Spider is located
- You’re going to have to wait until the conversation is over, which is quite lengthy — grab a snack or something
- Then, once you talk to Spider, he’s going to grant you the Ahoy and Aweigh quest
- After you complete it, head over to the H.E.L.M. space
- Interact with the Star Chart to obtain the Captain’s Atlas, as well as the Sails of the Shipstealer quest
This marks the start of the Season of Plunder seasonal quest, as well as unlocking a new activity called Expedition.

- Step 9: Check in with Spider in the Ether Tank
- Step 10: Mithrax and Eido are studying what you recovered from the pirate Hideout. They will contact you when they have more information
