Destiny 2 Season of the Wish Weapon Focusing Guide

Focus new goodies and golden oldies for your favorite weapon roll.

Season of the Wish arrived in Destiny 2 with several new weapons, and they’ve also been added to the Spirit of Riven vendor at the HELM. Here’s everything you need to know about Season of the Wish weapon focusing and how to obtain specific weapons.

How to Get Wish Engrams

To focus a weapon from the Spirit of Riven, you must acquire Wish engrams. These drop from completed activities while you have the Queensfoil Censer artifact, which activates the paid season pass. The season pass contains five Wish engrams and a copy of Scalar Potential, and Appetence. You can also receive Wish engrams by completing the Riven’s Lair and The Coil seasonal activities, which are accessible from the HELM.

When you get Wish engrams, head to the HELM and go through the portal in the East wing. Once you’re at the Spirit of Riven select Wish Engram Decoding to focus seasonal gear.

To unlock the ability to focus Wish engrams, you must unlock the associated Seasonal Bonus. To complete the Wishful Weapon Focusing challenge, you must acquire six of the Season of the Wish or reprised Undying weapons. To focus armor, you must collect a complete set of seasonal armor.

Season of the Wish Weapon Focusing

When focusing the new weapons, you can choose between focusing a specific weapon or a random weapon from the engram’s loot pool. You can only focus weapons and armor that are unlocked in your collections, which requires them to drop naturally before they can be focused.

  • Focusing a random weapon costs two Wish engrams and 3,000 Glimmer.
  • Focusing a specific weapon costs four Wish engrams and 3,000 Glimmer.
  • You may also choose to focus Season of the Wish gear, which includes the Wish weapons and armor, which only costs one Wish engram.

Wish weapons contain six new Legendary weapons:

Undying weapons contains four weapons that were originally introduced during the Season of Undying, and were later sunset in Destiny 2:

  • Imperative - Kinetic High Impact Frame scout rifle
  • Subjunctive - Arc Lightweight Frame submachine gun
  • Adhorative - Solar Adaptive Frame pulse rifle
  • Optative - Void Precision Frame hand cannon

You can also use your Wish engrams to focus the seasonal armor:

  • Each armor piece costs two Wish engrams and 2,000 Glimmer, except for the class item only costs two Wish engrams and 1,000 Glimmer. Each of these armor pieces comes with a perk that increases the amount of Reputation you earn with The Spirit of Riven vendor.

These weapons can also be crafted by collecting five patterns and visiting the Enclave on Mars. Finding the weapon pattern you want is much easier if you focus that weapon specifically, but will cost more engrams. If you get a weapon drop that doesn’t have a pattern to extract, you can use Deepsight Harmonizers to give it one. There are five Deepsight Harmonizers available in the season pass, so use them wisely to quickly acquire your preferred weapon patterns.
