Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer is here and it’s time to elevate your fashion game. Along with new weapons, a 6 player activity, armor, story missions, and season pass, the heavily requested armor transmogrification feature is finally arriving. In this season, players will team up with the Fallen Captain Mithrax to stop the Vex from plunging Earth into total darkness. In addition to all this new content, players can also experience the Vault of Glass raid for the first time in Destiny 2.

Vault of Glass boasts two difficulty settings, with the Master option being one of the toughest PVE challenges in the entire game. However, if you want a Timelost variant of a Vault of Glass weapon, this is the only way to get it. Because of this, many wonder what Power Level should you actually be if you want to try the Master variant of this raid?

Vault of Glass (Master) Power Level

Unlike Grandmaster Nightfalls, there’s no specific Power you need to be to load up this activity. Vault of Glass Master difficulty has a Power level of 1350, meaning the enemies you’ll be facing are just slightly under the Power level of Grandmaster Nightfalls. Because of this, I recommend having an average Power Level of 1340 throughout your fireteam. While you can have players around 1335 participate and overcome this activity, they will really struggle against Atheon. This boss is exceptionally tanky so unless you have terrific DPS phases, there’s a pretty low chance you’ll kill him before all four phases are over. Because of this, you will really want the majority of your team to be 1340 or above.

In addition to stronger enemies, Vault of Glass Master also includes Champion tier enemies in almost every single encounter. Previously, Overload Champions only appeared during the Confluxes and Gatekeeper encounter, but now you’ll need to contend with them throughout the raid. There are no new mechanics or alterations to encounters, however, you will need to complete the Weekly Challenge if you want to earn a Timelost variant of a Vault of Glass weapon.

These are the main reason anyone is actually playing the Master version of Vault of Glass. Timelost weapons are the raid version of Adept weapons found in Trials of Osiris or Grandmaster Nightfalls. Not only can they take Adept mods, but they will give you +3 to every stat (except Impact) when you masterwork one. Each Timelost weapon also comes with four perks, two in each column. This makes getting a god roll way easier and they are some of the best PVE weapons in the entire game. You can also get high stat armor that focuses on a specific attribute each week. Which stat the armor is focused around entirely depends on the week, so keep an eye out if you’re looking for a specific roll for your gear.
