Week 1 Lucent Moth Locations – Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

There are two Lucent Moths to find during the first week of The Witch Queen‘s Season of the Risen. They’re both scattered throughout the Throne World, which means you should have progressed through the main campaign up to the end of The Investigation.

The Week 1 Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths can be found in the following spots:

Quagmire Lucent Moth

Found near the Extraction Lost Sector inside a cave. Head towards the location and head to ground level to find an open cave.

It seems empty at first but it’s not — an enemy group led by an elite called Ubartu-Ana shows up to greet you inside. If you pay attention, you can also notice a green dome on the right side of the cave. That’s where the Lucent Moth is.

Take all of the enemies down for the dome to unlock. All that is left is for you to approach the Lucent Moth and grab it. That’s the first!

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths 5

Lucent Moth Apothecary Runes

Found in The Apothecary. This is the hardest of the two, as it’s quite a trip until you get to the location. For starters, we’re heading towards the other end of the cave (not where we just came in) to begin making our way to the Alluring Curtain.

Make your way through the massive entrance after the gate, always heading south (if you’re looking at the map). Continue forward until you come across the stairs that lead to the castle. Instead of entering the castle, you’re going to head right of the entrance and turn on the corner.

After you take the turn, continue forward. If you haven’t by now, I highly recommend hopping on your Sparrow to go faster. Head past the house-looking structure on the right to find an open area. Stick to the wall on the left until you reach the other end.

The next stop in our search for Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths is on that massive structure with several windows. Notice the platforms on its side with the spike-shaped statues? Hop on those to the other end, turn the corner, and head towards the open door after the gap.

The door takes you towards a large, empty structure with wet floors and long stairs. Enjoy the scenery until you exit to the other end and into the Alluring Curtain location. As we continue forward, we’re going to be sticking to the left side.

Hop on the platforms until you stumble upon a well-illuminated statue inside an open room. There may be enemies nearby, so keep an eye out for them.

Got into the room? The next step involves the interactable light there, which you may remember from the campaign missions. Activate it to gain Deep Sight and spawn a few platforms ahead of you. You’re going to hop on the platforms and make all the way up to the tower.

Once on top of the tower, jump across to the platform that is hanging in the air, and then jump once more towards the castle-like structure that has three open doors.

Now, don’t go inside any of the doors — instead, head to the left, where there is a massive yard that looks like a cemetery. Once in there, you’re going to want to go around the statues to find another one of the interactable lights to activate Deep Sight.

Once you have Deep Sight, look to the opposite side of the gate in front of the light — there is another hanging platform, which is where we’re heading next.

Notice the open door on the other end of the gap? That’s our destination. Jump across and head inside.

After going through the door, there is yet another yard with stairs. Instead of heading inside its open doors, however, take a detour to the left to find two smaller doors.

Surprise: Another large yard awaits, but we’re ignoring this one, too. Instead, you want to head inside the lone door that is in between the staircases, covered in red flowers.

Get past the purple-lit statue and into the great hall inside. Continue moving forward (or stop to take down the enemies, up to you) and, once you head inside the corridor with paths on each side, take the one on the left.

Make your way through the left corridor and get ready to go down a long staircase. Once you’re inside the big hall, drop to the left and head to the other side of the door located on ground level.

At long last, this is The Apothecary location. You’re almost done with the second of Week 1’s Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths. Take the path on the right by taking the large staircases there. Stick to the wall. The destination is on the far end with the statues and a few enemies roaming about.

You’re going to stumble upon a long monolith — use it as a reference as you have to get past it and continue moving forward.

Follow the long path ahead of you. You’re going to stumble upon a ramp on the right that leads towards a castle — but we’re ignoring that one, too.

After a bit more trekking (always heading forward), you’re going to come across another one of the interactable lights that grant Deep Sight.

Now here is the fun part: After you activate Deep Sight, you need to shoot five targets in a specific order for the Lucent Moth to appear. It’s not too hard as they’re all around the light, which we’re taking as a starting point for reference.

  • The first target is behind a short structure to the right of the starting point.
  • In the position you’re at the moment, the second target is on the right of the starting point — head down the stairs to see it on the side of the staircase that you first used to arrive at this area.

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths 46

  • From the starting point, the third target is on the right side of the staircase, right next to the door that leads to that small room underneath the light’s location. Head down to ground level and shoot it.

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths 47

  • From your current position, double jump to the right and back of the starting point, where you can find the fourth target right below the bush there.

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths 48

  • The fifth and final target is inside the room underneath the staircase.

That is all. If you don’t get all five targets on the first try, don’t worry — wait for a couple of seconds on the starting point and the light should reappear to try again. Now, head over there to grab the second Lucent Moth.

Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths 51

Gathering Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths is related to the Destiny 2 Lepidopterist Triumph. In order to make progress, head back to the Quagmire and visit Fynch. Instead of talking to them, turn around and head inside the cave. Two markers appear on both ends — interact with them to place the Lucent Moths.

That is all for Week 1!

Week 2 Lucent Moth Locations – Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

There are two Lucent Moths to find during the second week of The Witch Queen‘s Season of the Risen. They’re both scattered throughout the Throne World.

The Week 2 Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths can be found in the following spots:

Temple of the Cunning Lucent Moth

Found inside the Temple of the Cunning in the Quagmire. You can access this location via the Temple of the Wrathful.

Make your way down until you’re inside, which is clearly marked by those Hive Membranes on the walls. Shoot them to light the way forward until you’re in the main room.

If you’ve been playing The Witch Queen campaign, you already have a portal that takes you closer to the Temple of the Cunning from here. If not, either continue with the campaign or make your way through the Temple of the Wrathful until you’re on the next location.

The next steps are fairly straightforward. Take the path to the left after exiting the portal until you’re on the bridge that leads inside the blue room.

Continue moving forward through another bridge and, a few seconds later, enter the Temple of the Cunning.

Almost there. The next sections take you through a green room that leads to a sewer-like corridor on the left side, onto another room with a crack on the wall (which you may recognize if you’ve done the campaign, as it’s where you need to shoot the crystals to open the door.)

Just a bit more. Continue making your way through the temple and after a few seconds, expect to stumble upon a large area with a platform in the center.

If you pay attention to one of the columns next to the platform, there is the Lucent Moth waiting to be picked up.

That is all for the Temple of the Cunning Lucent Moth.

The Alluring Curtain Lucent Moth

The second Lucent Moth of Week 2 takes us through a similar path than last week, but it’s not necessary to get to The Apothecary.

The Lucent Moth can be found in the next yard. Go through one of the doors and onto the ground, where a few enemies immediately greet you.

Keep an eye out for Ir Olena, Moth Keeper — after you’ve killed this enemy, the Lucent Moth is dropped as loot.

You’re all set for the Alluring Curtain Lucent Moth. Remember to go back to Fynch and place the Lucent Moths on the cave found right at the opposite side of Fynch.

Destiny 2 Moth Locations Week 2 22

That is all for Week 2!

Week 3 Lucent Moth Locations – Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

There are two Lucent Moths to find during the third week of The Witch Queen‘s Season of the Risen. They’re both scattered throughout the Throne World, which means you should have progressed through the main campaign up to the end of The Investigation.

The Week 3 Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths can be found in the following spots:

Miasma Lucent Moth

Found sitting on a branch in the center of Miasma — if you’re looking at the map, it’s slightly above “AS” to be precise.

As reference there is a gate right before it, with is lit by a fire pit. You need to get on top of the tree, and while there is a lump that you can use to gain elevation, it’s best to go around the tree.

Jump on top of the branch that is behind it, and use that to get to the Lucent Moth.

Destiny 2 Lucent Moths Week 3 5

Temple of the Wrathful

Found inside the Temple of the Wrathful, which we have already visited beforehand for a previous Lucent Moth.

We’re heading through it to arrive directly to our desired location.

As soon as you go through the portal, head to the right side to stumble upon a group of enemies, including Captain Taksissa. If you pay attention, the Lucent Moth is behind all of them, trapped inside a dome.

Take all of them down (it’s an easy enough encounter!) and grab the Lucent Moth before you leave.

Destiny 2 Lucent Moths Week 3 10

That is all — remember to take the Lucent Moths to Fynch’s cave to wrap things up.

Destiny 2 Lucent Moths Week 3 11

All set for week 3!

Week 4 Lucent Moth Locations – Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

There are two Lucent Moths to find during the fourth week of The Witch Queen‘s Season of the Risen. They’re both scattered throughout the Throne World.

The Week 2 Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths can be found in the following spots:

Witch Echo’s Lucent Moth

Found inside the Witch Echo, located in the Miasma region of the Throne World. Head over to the northern side of the area, just near the swamp — inside the empty ruins there is a path down below that leads to the cave.

Make your way down and continue forward — ignore the portal and instead go to the left side after the first main room you come across.

You’re going to end up inside a room with enemies that has lights hanging from the ceiling. Just walk inside and head to the interactable light.

Once done, the Lucent Moth automatically appears right on the opposite side of the room, so go ahead and pick it up.

Wellspring’s Lucent Moth

The second Lucent Moth of Week 4 takes us to the Wellspring activity, for some reason. Thankfully, it’s a rather straightforward find.

During either Wellspring Attack or Wellspring Defend, the area you need to focus on is the first (Defend) or the last (Attack), which has the different rooms on the side. The one you want has three statues inside.

The statue on the left has the Lucent Moth on its left hand. Either jump to it or go around it and look up to grab it.

You’re all set for the Wellspring Lucent Moth. Remember to go back to Fynch and place the Lucent Moths on the cave found right at the opposite side of Fynch!

Week 5 Lucent Moth Locations – Destiny 2 The Witch Queen

There are two Lucent Moths to find during the fourth week of The Witch Queen‘s Season of the Risen. They’re both scattered throughout the Throne World.

The Week 5 Destiny 2 Witch Queen Lucent Moths can be found in the following spots:

Florescent Canal Lucent Moth

Found at the very center of the Florescent Canal, this Lucent Moth is floating on a fountain.

It’s a fairly straightforward one to grab, although keep in mind that it won’t stop moving! I recommend to jump inside the fountain and follow the moth along as you walk with it while pressing the interact button. This takes a few seconds, mind you, so no need to worry.

Destiny 2 Lucent Moths Week 5 3

That is all for this Lucent Moth, but don’t leave the Florescent Canal just yet!

Altar of Reflection Lucent Moth

The Altar of Reflection Lucent Moth location can be found in the Sepulcher Lost Sector, which is west of the center in the Florescent Canal.

Once you’re inside, expect a couple enemies near the entrance, as well as a longer battle in the main room. After taking care of all of the Hive, there is an interactable Deepsight light in the center of the room — we’re using that to reveal a puzzle.

You need to form the correct shape, and in order to do so, head over to the southwestern corner of the room (so, the entrance should be on your right side, as you overlook the entire room). This finalizes the shape and, in turn, opens a portal to the Altar of Reflection.

By now you should be used to the puzzles in here, but here is a guide for reference. Once done, go ahead and enter the main room.

This is up to you, but you don’t need to attack anyone. Feel free to just jump in and grab the Altar of Reflection Lucent Moth. To do this, move towards the main hall and take a detour to the right side, where you’ll find another Deepsight light to interact with.

Once done, turn around facing the entrance to the hall, where you’ll notice a couple new platforms. Jump on them to get to the Lucent Moth.

That is all! All that is left is for you to return to Fynch at the Quagmire once more and place the Lucent Moths inside the cave.

These are all the Destiny 2 Lucent Moth locations for week 5 — don’t forget to complete the Lepidopterist Triumph from the Throne World tab of your collection. Congrats on finding them all!
