Destiny 2: Which Raids are Free-To-Play?

There is a total of three different raids that all Destiny 2 players will be able to enjoy without spending a single cent. These are the three reprised raids that were originally released in Destiny 1 located in the Legends tab in Destinations and are accessible at any time. Not only that, but they are all included in the raid weekly rotation, meaning that they can drop infinite amounts of loot and Pinnacle rewards. Let's take a look at each of the free-to-play raids in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Crota's End.jpg

Crota's End

Season of the Witch saw the reprised release of the classic Crota's End raid, originally released on the The Dark Below DLC for the original Destiny. Crota's End's unique feature is the "Enlightened" mechanic. This buff is applied once a player picks up the Chalice of Light, and once its bar is full, you will receive a debuff called "Engulfed in Light." This means that you will have exactly 10 seconds for a teammate to take the Chalice from you, otherwise you will be killed.

This raid's exotic is the Necrochasm, and you will have to complete the Bottomless Pit to get it. Here is the Crota's End complete loot table.

King's Fall reprised version for Destiny 2 was released during the Season of the Plunder and it is the second reprised Destiny raid. The original raid was originally released during The Taken King DLC in the original Destiny, with its reprised version featuring a lot of what made the original raid: a long and encounter-heavy raid, making it the hardest one of all.
