Bequest

Stats

Swords are essential in the Destiny 2 meta, especially in PVE. If you're trying to get your hands on the best of the best, the Bequest will be one of your top bets. The weapon has the best overall damage of Legendary swords in the game and comes with the Bray Inheritance Origin Trait, meaning that dealing damage with it grants ability energy. Here's how you can get your hands on the best possible roll of this banger of a sword, including the best perk options for PVE and PVP.

How to Get Bequest in Destiny 2

You can get the Bequest Legendary Arc Adaptive Frame sword by completing the Deep Stone Crypt raid, though note that you can only access the raid if you own the game's Beyond Light expansion. Bequest can drop from the final encounter of the raid, so you may have to put some work into taking down Taniks if you want to earn enough Deepsight red-border versions of this weapon to be able to craft it. However, the raid is farmable, and Bungie increased the Deepsight drop rate for Deep Stone Crypt weapons a while back. Additionally, once per week, you can purchase a Deepsight Resonance weapon from the final boss chest for 20 Spoils of Conquest. Since you'll earn five Spoils from each encounter you complete, you can guarantee at least one red-border Bequest each time. You can also apply Deepsight Harmonizers to non-Deepsight versions of the weapon that may drop from the final encounter. You'll need to collect and extract five patterns to unlock the ability to craft Bequest.

Bequest God Rolls

Bequest PVE God Roll

  • Jagged Edge
  • Swordmaster's Guard
  • Relentless Strikes
  • Surrounded
  • Masterwork: Impact

This Bequest god roll maximizes damage output on what is already the highest damage-dealing Legendary sword in the game. Both Jagged Edge and the masterwork increase impact. Relentless Strikes refunds one ammo after landing three strikes. Surrounded offers a staggering 41.75% damage increase when three or more enemies are nearby, which lasts an additional 1.5 seconds even after the condition is no longer met. If you want to make the most of this weapon, you'll also want to ensure you're running Lucent Blades and an Armor Charge mod. Lucent Blades increases the energy recharge rate of your equipped swords when Charged with Light, plus it stacks up to three times.

Bequest PVP God Roll

  • Jagged Edge
  • Burst Guard
  • Unrelenting
  • Assassin's Blade
  • Masterwork: Impact

Though swords are not generally meta PVP weapons, you'll always find your share of Crucible sweats with aggressive playstyles. Again, Jagged Edge and the masterwork increase impact. Burst Guard is a superior perk choice in PVP because it increases both guard and weapon stability. Unrelenting is a solid option because rapid kills regenerate health immediately, with the added benefit that Guardians count as more than one kill. This means that a couple of Crucible kills within five seconds of one another will trigger the regenerative effects. Finally, Assassin's Blade is always a solid sword choice for PVP because your final blows boost your speed and movement, turning you into a threat.
