The original raid in the base game, Vault of Glass is beloved by many in the community due to its encounter design and loot. One of the weapons you can earn is the Found Verdict shotgun, which hard-hitting, aggressive frame weapon.
How to Get Found Verdict
You can only obtain the Found Verdict in the Vault of Glass raid. Not counting opening the door, this weapon can drop from the first (Conflux), second (Oracles), and fourth encounter (Gatekeeper). Once the weapon drops, it has a chance to appear in any of the secret chests hidden throughout the activity. Additionally, after getting Found Verdict once, you can turn in your Spoils of Conquest for a random roll of this shotgun. It costs 20 Spoils per weapon, so you will only be able to acquire one free Found Verdict during a full completion of the raid. However, since Spoils of Conquest can be farmed in raids, this is the most consistent way to ensure you get at least one of these to drop when you go through the Vault of Glass.
Found Verdict God Rolls
Found Verdict PVE God Roll
- Full Choke
- Assault Mag
- Auto-Loading Holster
- Frenzy or Vorpal Weapon
While the Found Verdict can roll with some solid perks, the slow firing rate reduces some viable options. For our barrel perk, we are going for Full Choke to reduce the pellet spread. This may decrease our precision damage, but it will overall make the weapon more consistent when fighting enemies up close. The magazine should be Assault Mag to help compensate the gun’s base low fire rate while giving us more stability. You can also go for Accurized Rounds if you want more range instead of outright speed.
As for primary perks, many may gravitate to Full Auto Trigger System or Rewind Rounds. Unfortunately, both of these are kinda bad on this weapon. The weapon fires way too slow for the former to be meaningful and the latter only gives you a single bullet back after firing four. Instead, we are going for Auto-Loading Holster to get around any reload issues, allowing us to always swap to another gun when we are done with this weapon. It will reduce our overall DPS downtime and works with virtually every build.
Finally, you’ll want either want Frenzy or Vorapal Weapon. Frenzy just offers a solid overall damage boost, while Vorpal Weapon is great against bosses, Champions, and Guardians in their Supers. You can go for One-Two Punch, but this can be a bit more niche.
Found Verdict PVP God Roll
- Smoothbore or Rifled Barrel
- Accurized Rounds
- Slideshot
- Opening Shot
For PVP, I recommend focusing solely on increasing this weapon’s effective damage range and overall accuracy. Our first perk should either be Smoothbore or Rifled Barrel to increase Found Verdict’s range stat. Keep in mind, Smoothbore will spread the pellet range out more, so don’t expect to be as accurate. Accurized Rounds also gives us a range boost, allowing us to compete a little more with slug shotguns. Slideshot is our first primary perk which not only partially reloads the weapon but gives it a range boost whenever we slide. Combine this with Opening Shot and you can really max out this weapon’s PVP effectiveness — especially for those who are more mobile like Titans or Hunters.
