You can unlock the Seventh Seraph CQC-12 by decrypting the Worthy-Focused Umbral Engram. This is located in the second row of Focused Engrams in the Prismatic Recaster, so you will need to unlock this first before you can narrow down the loot pool. Costing 100 Altered Energy, the Worthy-Focused Umbral Engrams only drop the Seventh Seraph CQC-12 and Seventh Seraph VY-7 submachine gun. Creating these Worthy Engrams will be your best method for farming the Seventh Seraph CQC-12 and you should be stocked up on Altered Energy if you have just been playing the game. This is the only way to obtain this weapon, but thankfully, it’s raining Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2 right now.
Seventh Seraph CQC-12 God Rolls
Seventh Seraph CQC-12 PVE God Roll
- Smallbore or Corkscrew Rifling
- Assault Mag
- Auto-Loading Holster
- Trench Barrel or Vorpal Weapon
If you are looking for a good PVE shotgun and don’t want to run the Prophecy dungeon, then the Seventh Seraph CQC-12 is a solid substitute. In the first slot, we are looking for either Corkscrew Rifling or Smallbore to increase the weapon’s effective range. The latter is the better option since it gives a bigger bump to stability and range, but Corkscrew Rifling is a decent alternative. You will also want Assault Mag, which increases our shotgun’s fire rate and stability, which combos perfectly with two of the perks you can obtain for this gun.
For our first primary perk, we are looking for Auto-Loading Holster. It’s nothing special, but it allows you to save time after you take down a major or mini-boss tier enemy. You can also use Lead From Gold, but this can be a little situational and is only truly useful if you are constantly finding yourself strapped for Special Ammo. The main perks you want are either Vorpal Weapon or Trench Barrel. If you plan to use this solely for taking down bosses then Vorpal Weapon is your go-to choice. But with Falling Guillotine devouring the DPS meta, Trench Barrel is currently your better option. It’s great for any type of enemy and works wonderfully with Assault Mag, allowing you to unload three bonus damage rounds quickly.
Seventh Seraph CQC-12 PVP God Roll
- Rifled Barrel
- Accurized Rounds
- Slideshot or Quickdraw
- Snapshot
This isn’t Felwinter’s Lie so I’m not sure why you’re even using this in PVP, but if you want to go against the grain here’s the roll to look out for. Your first two perks are solely dedicated to increasing this weapon’s effective range. Both Rifled Barrel and Accurized Rounds give us a nice boost to this stat, so you’ll want these at all costs. Our first primary perk is Slideshot which not only reloads the gun but offers a temporary boost to range and stability.
When combined with our other perks, this gives the Seventh Seraph CQC-12 a terrific engagement range. for dueling opponents. Rounding out our roll is Snapshot, letting us quickly ADS (aim down sights) and take down an enemy before they can react. Again, I don’t entirely recommend using this shotgun when a much better option exists, however, with this roll you can certainly do some damage in the Crucible.
