With Embervale seeming like an endless land filled with places to explore, the Ancient Spire will allow us to make it smaller by unveiling secret locations to help us improve our Flame. Here is how to enter and complete the Ancient Spire in Enshrouded.
Enshrouded: How to Enter the Ancient Spire
Entering the Ancient Spire is one of the quests you will get by the Blacksmith during the first hours of the game. The only key item will be the Grappling Hook - craftable at the Workbench for 4x Metal Scraps, 7x String, and 10x Shroud Spores - which will help you traverse a roadblock and also get to the Ancient Spire as well. A combination of platforming and simple puzzle-solving, the Ancient Spire is located in the Springlands, north of where you originally spawned and past the enshrouded chasm.
Ancient Spire First Floor
Getting to the Ancient Spire will involve you climbing a Tower. The first floor will make use of your Grappling Hook. While on ground level, you can open a closed door to your left by pushing a switch to find a treasure chest. Back to the main room, walk up the stairs and you will see a grappling point on the roof. Interact with it and you will swing across the room with your Grappling Hook. Time your jump so that you can get to the other side where you will enter the next room on the floor.
The second room is pretty straightforward. Use your Grappling Hook to jump across the room. If you fall to the lower level, you will also find a treasure chest and a couple of spikes. Once you move to the other side of the floor on the upper level, you will be able to interact with a glowing red platform to move to the second floor.
Ancient Spire Second Floor
The second floor is by far the easiest one in the Ancient Spire Tower. Its main purpose is to prepare yourself for what you will encounter on the third floor. You will find some lava on the lower level, so jump across and your character will automatically climb the wall with the fence. Move towards the right and continue the path to find another red-glowing platform.
Ancient Spire Third Floor
The third floor is the most complex floor of the bunch. To start, you will encounter the classic timed spike puzzle, so time your running and stop at the middle of the room where you will find an opening with no spikes. Time your running again and continue to the next room.
You will then find a room filled will lava and a couple of platforms. If you decide to move forward across the two platforms on the right, you can immediately head up to the final floor. However, there is a secret chest in this area that you can collect. Jump across the two platforms on the right and face the platform positioned in the middle of the room.
If you sprint and then run you will be able to make the jump to the platform that will allow you to grab the fence located just next to it. On the top, you will find a switch that, while not opening up a room in particular, will help you get a secret treasure chest.
Jump down and head forward across a door and you will find a closed door with two locks in place. You have already unlocked one, and the next one is just on top of the door. Head to the right and climb to the upper level. You will find the second switch that will open the locked door. Open the treasure chest and then return to the lava room to head to the final floor.
Ancient Spire Final Floor
The final floor will not require any puzzle-solving or even a boss battle. Just interact with the flame to Commune with it to unlock the Ancient's Spire Knowledge and you will unveil several secret locations across the map that you will now be able to visit.
