Your grind is almost at an end. This guide will cover the Zodiac Braves Weapons, the penultimate upgrade of the weapons introduced in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The journey has several phases, each offering a new version of the weapon, ending at the Zeta form. None of these weapons are best-in-slot anymore, so you’re purely doing this for your own satisfaction.

How to Unlock Your Zodiac Braves Relic Weapon
We’re almost at the end of our journey! The next phase is an item collection. Talk to Jalzahn at Hyrstmill in North Shroud (X: 29.5, Y: 19.6) to pick up the quest “Wherefore Art Thou, Zodiac.” This will unlock four other quests with corresponding items, and each quest requires you to obtain a host of other items.
A Ponze of Flesh
Acquired from Papana in Mor Dhona (X: 22.9, Y: 7.3). This quest’s corresponding item is the Book of Skylight. You are required to obtain the following items, which can be obtained in the different ways:

Acquired from Adkin in Central Thanalan (X: 23.6, Y: 13.7). This quest’s corresponding item is the Zodiac Scroll. You are required to obtain the following items, which can be obtained in the different ways:

- Kraken Blood– Hullbreaker Isle

- Perfect Vellum (HQ)– Leatherworker crafting; desynthesize from Aged Grimoire (3,000 gil) from Merchant & Mender in Silver Bazaar, Western Thanalan (X: 15.1, Y: 29); or purchase from Market Board
- Perfect Pounce (HQ)– Alchemist crafting; desynthesize from Aged Phial (3,000 gil) from Merchant & Mender in Silver Bazaar, Western Thanalan (X: 15.1, Y: 29); or purchase from Market Board
If you’re counting, you’ll realize that you need at the bare minimum: 400,000 gil, 80,000 Company Seals, and 800 Allagan Tomestone of Poetics. You’ll also need crafted items from eight different Disciples of the Hand.
Once you have all four items, you can pick up the quest “His Dark Materia” from Gerolt at Hyrstmill in North Shroud (X: 30.2, Y: 20.2). He’ll give you the “What’s Nexus” achievement and send you back to Jalzahn. Talk to him and select “Zodiac Weapon Recreation.”
