How to Get the Demi-Phoenix Mount in FFXIV

Prepare for some Savage fights to get this one.

Some of the most coveted mounts in Final Fantasy XIV are locked behind content outside of the Main Scenario Quests. Some require daily grinding, like the Tribal quests, while others require players to grind higher-end content. The Extreme trials typically offer mounts, but so do the Savages available to players willing to devote the time and effort.

To earn the regal Demi-Phoinix mount, players are going to have to master some Savage fights. This four-winged mount may not be easy to obtain, but its glorious contrasts of black and crimson make it a great trophy for all the hard work involved.

How to get the Demi-Phoenix mount in FFXIV

In order to acquire the Demi-Phoinix mount, players have a bit of work ahead of them. Before Savage fights can be unlocked, the normal tier of battles must be completed. These quests can only be undertaken after completing the "Endwalker" Quest with a level 90 character.

The first Pandæmonium quest can be found at X: 9.6, Y: 11.9. It's called "The Crystal from Beyond", and NPC Nemjiji will provide it. This is just the introduction quest for the Asphodelos fights. "Where Familiars Dare" is the quest that will award access to Asphodelos: The First Circle, and is acquired in Elpis X: 32, Y: 23. From there, following the quest line is simple. Once the quest "Who Wards the Warders" and Asphodelos: The Fourth Circle are completed, players can engage in the harder content.

Talking to Nemjiji in Labyrinthos at X: 8.4, Y: 27.4 will allow players to try their hand at the Savage fights. These are more difficult than the Extreme trials, and require quite a lot of coordination from attempting parties. Party Finder can offer chances at coordinated parties for the fights, though you need to be at least item level 570 to get into the First Circle. Each of the fights offer potential gear coffers, as well as books that can be exchanged for higher item level gear. While it's not recommended, players can also potentially skip fights to go straight to the Fourth Circle fight, provided they have the required item level of at least 580.

Any players deciding to tackle the Pandæmonium Savage content may recognize the reward mount for beating The Fourth Circle. The mighty Phoinix is a fight in Asphodelos:The Third Circle (Savage). Of course, beating the third fight won't get you the mount reward. You'll have to see both phases of the fourth fight all the way through to earn the multi-headed Phoinix.

Once The Fourth Circle is completed, players have a chance at rolling on the Demi-Phoinix Horn. This item cannot be sold on the marketplace, traded, or acquired by any other means besides a potential drop at the end of the fight.
