In Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker's Patch 6.55, a new out-of-this-world UFO mount was added. A novelty unidentified flying object modeled after a flying saucer, the UFO was part of the Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures quest line during Endwalker.
Getting the UFO mount for yourself will require a little bit of patience, diligence, and perseverance. Here’s how to unlock the UFO mount for yourself in Final Fantasy XIV.
How to unlock the UFO Mount in FFXIV
The UFO Mount is unlocked as a reward for completing the final quest of the Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, the fourth iteration of Hildibrand Adventures. The final quest in the quest line is called “Gentlemen at Heart” and requires you to complete The Gilded Araya Trial.
Upon completion of the quest (not the Trial), you’ll receive the UFO Identification Key. Once this is in your inventory, you can activate it to be able to unlock the UFO. The UFO mount is untradeable, unsellable, and unique, so that means no finding this one on the market board, or skipping any quests to get it.
The UFO is a unique animation that sees the player literally be abducted by it in order to ride the mount. While it’s unlocked via a quest chain, the fact the Hildibrand series now has dozens of quests in every quest line means if you’ve not started, you’ve got a lot of work. However, if you’re an avid player, or have attempted the Endwalker Relic Quests, you’ll be set to unlock this bizarre mount.
