Island Sanctuary is receiving a lot of new content in Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.5. From new areas to explore to unseen creatures to capture, players can inevitably find something to keep them busy. As an extra motivation for players to keep selling their handicrafts, the Vicarious Vacationer, a new minion was also added to the game.
The Vicarious Vacationer invokes the summer vibes one would like to find on a private island such as the Island Sanctuary. This little mammet comes with the whole vacation kit. It wears a light hat great to protect it during sunny days on the beach, as well as a light blue shirt over a white t-shirt, which shows how this little fellow is tired of working and ready to enjoy their free time.

Players who want this minion might be thinking that it will take a lot of time - and grinding - to get their hands on their own Vicarious Vacationer. The mammet minion isn't too hard to get though, islanders just need to buy it for 4,000 Seafarer's Cowries by talking to the Horrendous Hoarder in the Island Sanctuary. Players don't need to be at rank 17 for the Vicarious Vacationer to appear among the items sold by the NPC. The mammet minion was added in Patch 6.5, but those who hadn't kept up with their islands could still purchase the little guy.
Although 4,000 Seafarer's Cowries might sound like a lot, it's pretty easy to earn this amount in a very passive way by setting up the workshop to make handicrafts, which are sold automatically. So, all players need to do is to get the materials and let the mammets do the work for them. Doing so consistently, will eventually give enough Seafarer's Cowries to buy this new minion.
