In Final Fantasy XIV the Vinegaroon and Forgiven Reticence mounts are pretty uncommon sights, due the fact that they’re a bit of a grind to obtain. Tied to The Hunt, an end-game piece of content that sees you pick up bounties on dangerous mobs, both the Vinegaroon and Forgiven Reticence have similar unlock methods.
Forgiven Reticence is a sin eater-like creature that also happens to bear a striking resemblance to the Winged Lion boss from The Lost City of Ampador, and was added in Shadowbringers. Meanwhile, the Vinegaroon looks similar to many dragonkin of the same name, and was added in Endwalker. Here’s how to unlock them both.
How to Unlock the Vinegaroon Mount in FFXIV
The Vinegaroon Mount can be unlocked for 3,200 Sacks of Nuts from two vendors - J'lakshai in Old Sharlayan (X: 11.8, Y: 13.2) and Wilmetta in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.5, Y: 7.4). Sacks of Nuts are obtained by taking on hunts from the Guildship Hunt Board. You’ll earn up to 100 Sacks of Nuts (For Elite Guildship Marks).
Unfortunately, the Vinegaroon is not tradable or marketable, so taking part in The Hunt is the only way to unlock this mount.
How to Unlock the Forgiven Reticence Mount in FFXIV

Just like the Vinegaroon, Forgiven Reticence is unlocked by spending 3,200 Sacks of Nuts. You’ll need to speak to either Ilfroy in Eulmore (X: 11, Y: 10.8) or Xylle at The Crystarium (X: 9.4, Y: 9.5) to trade in your Sacks of Nuts. Again, just like most other Hunt-related mounts, Forgiven Reticence is not tradable or marketable.
Best Ways to Farm Sacks of Nuts in FFXIV
To farm Sacks of Nuts, you should complete daily and weekly hunts from the hunt boards in The Crystarium and Old Sharlayan. It’s also a good idea to join Hunt trains, which are large groups of players tracking down A and S-Rank elite monsters in sequence.
