When a creator whose works influenced a generation dies, many look for ways to honor them through their own methods of creativity. In the case of Final Fantasy XIV players and the death of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, many celebrate his work through outfits and glamours to portray the characters Toriyama was responsible for creating over the years.
Akira Toriyama's most notable and iconic character is Son Goku, the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball series and its spin-offs. Since his debut in 1984, Goku has undergone many changes in appearance, beginning the series as a 12-year-old boy and ending the original Dragon Ball run as the father of two sons and a grandfather.
While his age and stature may have changed, one constant in Goku's appearance throughout most of Dragon Ball is his iconic orange and blue gi. Sporting the color scheme with a mess of black hair usually leaves no mistaking in which character you're trying to portray. Many of Toriyama's character designs were just as prolific as "the Saiyan from Earth," spanning other legendary games, from Chrono Trigger to the Dragon Quest series. There are plenty of characters to choose from to honor the man responsible for one of the most iconic manga and anime series of all time, but Son Goku seems the most fitting.

How to make a Goku glamour in FFXIV
Slapping a coat of orange and blue dye on any gear set will probably translate to "Goku" for many people based on colors alone, but that wouldn't be the most accurate representation. To recreate Son Goku's famous orange gi, you'll need the following items:
- Chest Piece
- Dalmascan Draped Top
- Pumpkin Orange Dye
- Dalmascan Draped Top
- Hands Piece
- Bunny Chief Loops or Goatskin Wristguards
- Dragoon Blue Dye
- Bunny Chief Loops or Goatskin Wristguards
- Legs Piece
- Riviera Slops or Thavnairian Sarouel
- Pumpkin Orange Dye
- Riviera Slops or Thavnairian Sarouel
- Feet Piece
- Raptorskin Crakows or Lalafellin Top Boots (Lalafells only)
- Dragoon Blue Dye
- Raptorskin Crakows or Lalafellin Top Boots (Lalafells only)

While you can sport this orange and blue look as nearly any job, Monk is the most fitting for cosplaying as the master martial artist Goku. Paired with the job's Enlightenment ability that looks just like Goku's signature Kamehameha, this look is an excellent tribute to the late Akira Toriyama.
