How to Unlock the Skyslipper, Ramuh and Eden Mounts in FFXIV

This Eden isn't a paradise.

Final Fantasy XIV's Party Finder is filled daily with players aiming to farm specific duties for its rewards — specifically, their mounts. While you can brute force your way through older content and hope a particular item drops, the same can't always be said for some of the highest-tiered content in terms of difficulty.

Savage Raids are much more challenging to complete than your average Duty Roulette. These Duties require careful coordination and knowledge of the specific Duty's mechanics, as a mistake made by one party member can mean dooming the entire group. While you may see the latest tier of these raids pop up in Party Finder, many players resort to forming dedicated groups known as statics, whose goal is to work with the same pre-made party to complete the raid tier.

Some Savage Raid series, like the Alexander raids or the Second Coil of Bahamut, can easily be cleared with an undersized party due to the high item levels of current gear compared to what they were when the raid series first released. While their higher item level certainly gives them an edge, players looking to barrel through newer expansions' raids will find they're still required to familiarize themselves with mechanics or be met with an untimely wipe. Such is the case if you're looking to obtain the mounts from Shadowbringers' Eden raids — Skyslipper, Ramuh, and Eden.

How to unlock Skyslipper, Ramuh, and Eden mounts in FFXIV

If you're looking to add Skyslipper, Ramuh, and Eden to your ever-growing mount collection, you must first gain access to Shadowbringers' raid series, the Eden raids. After finishing the Main Scenario Quest "Shadowbringers", speak to the Anxious Crystarium Guard at The Crystarium (X: 9.7, Y: 12.3) to grab the quest "In the Middle of Nowhere."

Each raid series is broken down into three groups of four. In the case of the Eden raids, the normal difficulty raids are referred to as E1N through E12N, and their Savage counterparts are named to E1S through E12S. Players only need to complete the normal raids in their group to unlock those higher difficulty variants. For example, players must only complete E1N through E4N to unlock E1S through E4S.

Skyslipper

This four-person mount is a potential drop from Eden's Gate: Sepulture (Savage), otherwise known as E4S. After working through the normal difficulty versions of the raid by progressing through the previously mentioned questline, speaking to Lewry in Amh Araeng (X: 26.8, Y: 16.4) after completing the quest "The Next Piece of the Puzzle" will grant access to E1S through E4S, the four Eden's Gate Savage Raids.

While the gear obtained in Endwalker is much higher than the Duty's required item level, certain mechanics will still prove challenging if the party is undersized. While you certainly don't have to do the Duty synced, you should familiarize yourself with the mechanics using various guides such as Hector's Guides and have as close to a full party as possible to ensure things go smoothly. Upon opening the chests before leaving the duty, the Skyslipper Key has a chance to appear.

Ramuh

Players can summon a version of Ramuh to carry them around to their heart's content by earning it as a drop in the form of the Ramuh Crystal after completing E8S, or Eden's Verse: Refulgence (Savage). Similar to the Skyslipper mount, progressing through the Eden quests and completing the base difficulty versions of the raids is required to unlock the Savage versions. After finishing the quest "Life Finds a Way," speak to Lewry in Amh Araeng (X: 26.8, Y: 16.4) to unlock the Eden's Verse Savage Raids, E5S through E8S.

Eden

The dozens of Final Fantasy VIII fans were most likely ecstatic to see the game's GF Summon, Eden, make an appearance and for FFVIII to be referenced after remaining the underdog in most debates on the best game in the series for so long. The cherry on top is that Eden is available as a mount, though it requires the most work of the three to obtain. Following the trend, the Eden Crystal is a possible reward for completing Eden's Promise: Eternity (Savage), or E12S, the final raid in the Eden series. Players once again can speak to Lewry in Amh Araeng (X: 26.8, Y: 16.4) after completing the base versions of the Eden's Promise raids.

While no longer the current tier of Savage Raids, the Eden series remains a challenge despite the differences in required item level and average item level of gear at the end of Endwalker's life cycle. With a little studying, and a group of friends or a Party Finder listing, these three mounts are excellent additions to your collection.
