How to Get Seeds in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary

For some reason, not all of them are found in the Wild, but okay

The Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV is a space for those looking for the coziness of taking care of your own farm. You get to take care of animals, construct buildings, and sow the land with all the seeds you can find. Part of the fun of playing farming games is to have crops and see each vegetable and fruit grow until they are ready for you to collect and sell them!

Just like the Island Palm Leaves and other materials, seeds are found all over the island. Even so, some spots are better as farm routes than others. Before you start worrying about where on the island the seeds are hidden, you can’t take advantage of them if you haven’t unlocked the Island Sanctuary yet. In this guide, we explain where you can get seeds in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary so you can focus on other things, like making gil from Seafarer’s Cowries.

How to get seeds in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary

There are two methods to get seeds to grow your crops in Island Sanctuary. The first one is by buying them from the Produce Producer NPC at X: 12.6 Y: 26.9. You can’t find these seeds anywhere else on the island, so you need to invest money to get them. The NPC will only start selling some of these seeds after you increase your Island Sanctuary rank. Produce Producer sells the following seeds for two Seafarer’s Cowrie each:

  • Isleberry Seeds
  • Island Onion Set
  • Island Tomato Seeds
  • Island Wheat Seeds
  • Island Corn Seeds
  • Island Radish Seeds
  • Island Paprika Seeds
  • Island Leek Set
  • Island Runner Bean Seeds
  • Island Beet Seeds
  • ISland Eggplant Seeds
  • Island Zucchini Seeds
  • Island Watermelon Seeds
  • Island Sweet Popoto Set
  • Island Broccoli Seeds
  • Island Buffalo Bean Seeds

Out in The Wilds, you can collect four types of seeds: Island Cabbage Seeds, Island Pumpkin Seeds, Island Popoto Set, and Island Parsnip Seeds. To get them, you just need to activate the “Gathering” mode. No special tool is needed.

The locations where you can find each of these seeds are listed below:

  • Island Cabbage Seeds: To get these seeds, you need to go to Northward Stream at X: 17.4 Y: 20.5, because this is the only spot where you will find them. There are only five nodes so you need to collect other materials that are close to make it an efficient farm route.

  • Island Pumpkin Seeds: South of Pristine Pond, you can find a total of 10 nodes of Pumpkin Seeds in two groups of five. One is at X: 18.6 Y: 26.5 and the other at X: 19.4 Y: 26.3. Since this is the only area where you can find them, there is no better farm route.

  • Island Popoto Set: Different from the other two seeds, the popoto seeds don’t have their own nodes. You shovel them alongside springs of Islewort. There are two great farm locations. The first is in the Eastward Stream and the other is west of Pirate Bay. You also find a few of them south from Gentle Slope.

  • Island Parsnip Seeds: These are the best seeds to farm since there are a fair number of locations with groups of nodes. Like the Island Popoto Set, the Island Parsnip Seeds share the node with Isleworts. On the east side of The Wilds, you find enough nodes to make a great farm route. The same goes for the area northwest of Gentle Slope. There are other nodes on the island, but they are too far from these groups to consider them as part of the farm route.
