Once again, Final Fantasy XIV has a scheduled maintenance, this time on Oct. 2 that will last a full 24 hours. The implementation of Patch 6.5, Growing Light, brings with it a plethora of new content, and includes the cloud Data Center, which could be why the maintenance is so lengthy.
Not only will all worlds be affected, but pretty much every other FFXIV service will go down as well. This includes the Online Store, the Lodestone, and the Companion App, though the downtimes for these vary. As for the timing of the game's maintenance, players can check below to see when it starts in their respective time zone.

What is coming in FFXIV Patch 6.5?
Thanks to the most recent Live Letter, fans have an even better idea of what to expect when 6.5 arrives. While there will obviously be significant additions to the main story, the bulk of what's coming is other content. Raiders have the newest addition to the Myths of the Realm Alliance Raids to look forward to. PvP players will get some UI adjustments, as well as a new Crystalline Conflict arena. And very notably, FFXIV's Free Trial will be expanded to include Stormblood.
