In FFXIV, Cordial is currently the best craftable GP restoration method, unlocked through the Master Alchemist I. This requires your class level to be 50 or higher. It can be obtained from Talan in Mor Dhona (X: 21.9, Y: 6.8) in exchange for one Growth Formula Delta Concentrate.
FFXIV Quests That Award Cordial
You can receive several free units of Cordial every day from gathering-focused Beast Tribe Quests. You need to first unlock the Namazu (in Stormblood) and/or unlock the Qitari (in Shadowbringers). After which, their normal daily quests will usually award you Cordial in addition to the normal rewards.
Note that the Namazu are a special case in FFXIV. Cordial will only be awarded from this tribe if you select the quests as a Miner or a Botanist. You can also select their daily missions as a crafter. However, this will usually award elemental catalysts (e.g. Fire Crystals) instead.
FFXIV Vendors Selling Cordial
- Talan in Mor Dhona (X: 21.9, Y: 6.8) will give you one Cordial in exchange for one of the following:
- 10 Umbral Rocks
- 5 Antumbral Rocks
- 10 Fragrant Logs
- 5 Redolent Logs
- The following vendors will give you one Cordial for four Bicolor Gemstones
- Siulmet in Lakeland (X: 35.5, Y: 20.6).
- Zumutt in Kholusia (X: 11.8, Y: 8.9).
- Sul Lad in Il Mheg (X: 16.2, Y: 30.6).
- Nacille in The Rak’tika Greatwood (X: 27.9, Y: 18.2, Z: 0.3).
- Goushs Ooan in The Tempest (X: 33.2, Y: 18.0).
- Halden in Amh Araeng (X: 10.6, Y: 17.1).
- Each grand company Quartermaster will also sell you one Cordial for 500 Seals if you have achieved the rank of Chief Sergeant.
None of these are particularly good deals. We recommend you craft or purchase the items instead.
