Server congestion, long queue times, and untimely disconnections have loomed over the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. It has gotten to the point that Square Enix has halted sales of the game to prevent impacting servers further. And in the latest in the ongoing saga of FFXIV suffering from success, players will be given 14 days of free subscription time.
The 14 days of free game time will be applied to eligible accounts on December 21, and it is said to take about two or three days to process and go into effect. The free game time applies to accounts that have a full version of FFXIV and an active subscription or remaining game time on December 21 at 12 a.m. PT — your subscription billing date or end date will simply be pushed back by 14 days. This extra time will also apply to additional paid features like the Retainer Service. The 14 days of free game time is in addition to the seven days previously instated from the initial wave of server issues.
