The vast world of Teyvat in Genshin Impact is full of unique resources for players to collect. Every character in the game requires a different set of materials to build them up and newly added five-star Electro Catalyst user Yae Miko is the second one to require Sea Ganoderma for Ascension, the other being fellow Inazuman character Kazuha.
Sea Ganoderma is not a newer resource within the game, but the area it first appeared in, the Golden Apple Archipelago, was a special event area that is now inaccessible to players. It was reintroduced in various locations within Inazuma and subsequently in Enkanomiya. As of now, Sea Ganoderma can only be found in Inazuma and Enkanomiya.
In Inazuma, this resource can be found along the coasts of most Inazuman islands. The specific areas they are found around Inazuma are highlighted below.
Category | Character Level-Up |
Detail | A plant species that only grows in certain regions and islands of the ocean. Though it looks like a fungus of some sort, it actually comes from a substance secreted by certain soft-bodied organisms. In the folktales told in a certain land, these mouthless, noseless creatures are the transformed souls of children who died young. As a form of punishment, they must spend endless years absorbing the elements within the sand and sea using their fragile bodies, piling them up and forming "Sea Ganoderma." And once the Ganoderma are fully formed, they shall be harvested. |
Gorou's Passive Talent, Seeker of Shinies, allows the player to detect nearby Inazuma-Exclusive Items, such as Sea Ganoderma, Naku Weed and Sango Pearls, as long as Gorou is in the party.
For now, there are no other characters using Sea Ganoderma other than these two characters.
Sea Ganoderma can be found on every island of Inazuma as well as one location in Enkanomiya. This item grows in water and depending on the location, you can find one Sea Ganoderma or a cluster of them.
