The next Helldivers 2 premium Warbond — the third-person action game's battle pass equivalent — comes to Super Earth on April 11, and Sony released an explosive official trailer Thursday detailing what players can expect from it.
"Noble patriots of Super Earth, the time for stealth is over this April 11th," the trailer's description reads. "Make the biggest bang since the dawn of time with the Democratic Detonation Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2. Includes explosive weapons, armour, emotes and more."
The trailer opens with a trio of soldiers flanked by massive explosions. Each is wearing one of the three new armor sets along with capes, which we see in detail. Then we get a glimpse of each new weapon in action.

How Warbonds Work in Helldivers 2
Warbonds function similarly to classic battle passes in similar online shooters, except once you purchase a Warbond, you own it forever, and there are no limits on the time it takes you to unlock the rewards fully. "Each one includes in-game weapons, armors, capes, emotes, stratagems, utilities, and more," the official PSN listing for the game reads. In other words, Warbonds give the player access to exclusive cosmetics and unique weapons you can't access anywhere else.
Here's how to access the gear from Warbonds:
- Purchase Super Credits (the virtual in-game currency) from the Acquisitions store in-game or directly in the PlayStation Store.
- Purchase the Warbond in the Warbond catalogues.
- Complete missions to earn Medals.
- Spend Medals to unlock more content from the Warbond.
Like most similar in-game currencies, you can earn a modest number of Super Credits just by playing the game but buying them directly is the fastest way to get them — and you get more for spending more. Here's a rundown of the costs:
- $1.99 - 500 Super Credits
- $4.99 - 1000 Super Credits
- $9.99 - 2500 Super Credits
- $19.99 - 10000 Super Credits
You can also earn Super Credits from Premium Warbonds. And since you can also spend it on rotating gear within the game's Premium Store, it's worth it to keep a stockpile.
