Epic Seven’s Sanctuary is where you’ll upgrade all of the various buildings your team relies on. From passive gold and Skystone generation, to Phantasma farming, all the way to gear reforging and more. But at the start of the game, these buildings are at their base level and incredibly lacking. To make them better you’ll need to hunt for an item called Breath of Orbis. These materials can be used to improve the structures, however, there is a limited number of them available so spending them optimally is crucial.

In this Breath of Orbis Guide we’ll run down all of the available upgrade options and walk you through where you can find more points in the game’s campaign.

Sanctuary Structure Priority

There are a few routes you can go with your first few points. What we’re going to do is run down the structures and recommend how many points you should invest and when.

Forest of Souls

Early on in the game you’re going to want to be able to promote your characters to higher star tiers. Doing so requires a ton of Phantasmas and the Forest of Souls can help with that. We recommend putting your first three points into the Soul Isle Extension, increasing the number of creatures you can grow at a time. This will help you build up your collection of fodder while you play the game.

Probability Blessing: Increases your odds of getting higher tier Penguins. Medium to low priority.
Soul Isle Extension: Allows you to nurture more creatures at one time. High priority.
Time Blessing: Reduces the amount of time it takes to nurture a creature. Very low priority.

Recommended Final Investment: 3/3/0.

Heart of Orbis

The Heart of Orbis doesn’t look like a whole lot at first. Three Skystones and some gold? What’s the big deal? Though it’s not much, with some upgrades it can actually be a pretty good passive income. Max out this building next with the following nine Breath of Orbis.

Cradle of Life: Allows the Heart of Orbis to hold more gold and Skystones. High priority.
Mirror of Light: Makes the Heart of Orbis generate gold and Skystones more quickly. High priority.
Benedictory Sanctum: Increases the odds of doubling the gold and Skystones upon redemption. Very high priority.

Depending on how often you check in with Epic Seven, you can decrease your investment in the Heart of Orbis. Keep an eye on the main page of the building where it tells you how long until storage is completely full. If you check in much less frequently than it says, you can back off of Cradle of Life.

Recommended Investment: 2/3/3 or 3/3/3

High Command

If you’re a new player, you may look at High Command and see how you can earn 2,500 EXP and 16,500 gold for just four energy. Naturally, you may just want to do this over and over again. Experienced players, however, know the real value is in the Hunt and War Missions where you can earn ten Ancient Coins and ten Conquest Points, respectively. These items can be a pain to grind and having passive income for only one energy is a huge deal.

Administration: Unlocks more Hunt missions. (See below for priority)
Floating Station: Unlocks more Adventure missions.
Barracks: Unlocks more War missions.

By putting one point into each category, you gain access to those cheap and efficient missions. There is no reason to spend more points here.

Recommended Investment: 1/1/1

Steel Workshop

When you get towards the endgame, you’ll need to start finding optimal gear and rerolling your equipment. The Steel Workshop is where this happens so feel free to ignore this while you’re still leveling and completing the campaign.

Extend Workshop: Reduces the amount of gold it takes to craft and reforge.
Artisan’s Furnace: Increases the chance of an item being Heroic or Epic.
Blacksmith’s Dormitory: Reduces the amount of resources it takes to craft. Does not affect reforging.

This is one you want to max out. When you’re eventually ready to get into endgame crafting, level up Artisan’s Furnace first for better returns on your investment.

Alchemist’s Steeple

The Alchemist’s Steeple lets you craft things like charms, catalysts, and exclusive equipment. Another endgame activity, this is one you can wait on.

Alchemy Academy: Reduces the amount of gold it takes to craft.
Laboratory: Allows you to craft more types of items.
Ingredient Storage: Improves the Quality Points of crafted items.

Recommended Investment: 0/3/3.

How to Get Breath of Orbis

Breath of Orbis can be obtained from about one stage in each chapter. These are normally out of the main path, meaning you’ll need to open up secondary areas using the adventure mazes. You can currently find a Breath of Orbis on the following stages. They’ll be marked with a diamond shape. Just make sure to clear the Chaos Gate inside to actually earn the item. Each Chaos Gate has two more mob encounters and a boss encounter, effectively doubling the length of the stage.

After you complete the main story, you’ll gain access to the Unrecorded History Side Story which has 12 more Breath of Orbis to obtain.
