Mount & Blade Neretzes's Folly Guide - How to Find the 10 Nobles

The land of Calradia can be incredibly daunting when you’re first starting out. Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is still in early access so a lot of features are still a little rough around the edges. The main quest, for example, doesn’t really hold your hand. One of the first tasks is simply to find ten nobles in Calradia who can help you understand Neretzes’s Folly. It doesn’t explain how to do so at all though. Our guide will run down some quick tips to help speed up this incredibly time consuming quest step.

As a reminder, this is an early access game, things are subject to change. We’ll do our best to keep the guide up to date, but can’t promise we’ll have absolutely everything updated straight away.

How to Find 10 Nobles in Mount & Blade 2

Honestly this is one of the hardest parts of the main quest simply because those Nobles never stay in one play for too long. A good starting point is all of the different faction leaders. They will either know the information you need and count towards completing the quest, or will point you in the right direction.

  • Vlandia: King Derthert
  • Sturgia: Prince Raganvad
  • Northern Empire: Senator Lucon
  • Southern Empire: Empress Rhagaea
  • Western Empire: Garios
  • Aserai: Sultan Unqid
  • Kuzait: Monchug
  • Battania: King Caladog

You can find out where these rulers were last seen using the encyclopedia. Just hit “N,” navigate over to Heroes, and filter by Nobles specifically. As you can see, there are many, many nobles in the world. But not all of them have the information you seek.

As a tip, if you see the blue exclamation mark anytime during your world map journeys, chase them down! Chances are there’s a noble in the party.

You can also try to visit Castles and ask the guards for an audience. They’ll frequently let you in without a bribe, but you should only attempt this if the notable citizens bar on the top right shows someone inside.

This is a very time consuming quest as navigating across the world of Calradia takes days and days in game. Have patience and try to methodically hit each empire. Try not to rush things since coming all the way back from across the world is hard to do. It’s also incredibly hard to remember where you left off. That said, if another method works for you, stick with it! Don’t go swapping things up, the game doesn’t track anything other than who you’ve successfully talked to and where they were from.

And that’s it for now! We’re still working our way through Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord. We’ll be sure to update this guide with any new information we find as we play. If you have any tips or tricks to share with fellow players, do leave them in the comments below! If we agree they’re useful we’ll add them to the guide!
