Despite continued server problems and even a denial-of-service attack over the weekend, Niantic’s popular Nintendo-branded augmented reality game Pokemon Go has rolled out for an additional 27 countries in the last few days, including Canada and much of Europe.
Niantic CEO John Hanke tells Reuters that the company has plans to expand the number of countries to 200 “relatively soon,” although due to the impacted servers roll-out in Pokemon‘s native Japan has been delayed until the end of July.
For reference, the full list of countries where Pokemon Go is currently available are:

Players in countries outside this list have had some success accessing the app through side-loading applications and proxies. These workarounds have proved so popular that players in Canada, for instance, have even recently started up a Pokemon Go chauffeur service, driving trainers around to local hotspots. With this official release, the total number of users will shoot up dramatically (as will the reports you’ll hear of all the wonderful/terrible/cyberpunk things supposedly happening as a result).
We’ll be updating the above list as the game opens up in new regions!
