What to Expect
So, what will be revealed during this year's Pokemon Presents? Let's take a look back at previous announcements to figure out what we should expect from this year's presentation. The semi-annual February/August Pokemon Presents release schedule began in 2021, so we'll start there!
- In February 2021, Pokemon Presents announced the New Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and the Nintendo Switch versions of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- In February 2022, Pokemon Presents announced Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Daybreak update for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and a new online animated series - Pokemon: Hisuian Snow.
- In February 2023, Pokemon Presents announced a two-part DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk.
Finally, the most recent Pokemon Presents occurred in August 2023. While there were a plethora of announcements made during this event; including two new animated series Pokemon: Path to the Peak, and Pokemon: Paldean Winds, as well as a couple of spin-off video games (Detective Pikachu Returns and Pokemon Stadium 2), there were no major announcements regarding the mainline Pokemon video game series.
Taking the last three years of presentations into consideration, it seems like Pokemon fans are due for a new entry into the mainline series.
