Destiny 2 Epilogue Guide - How to Complete The Season of the Splicer Epilogue

Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer is here and it’s time to elevate your fashion game. Along with new weapons, a 6 player activity, armor, story missions, and season pass, the heavily requested armor transmogrification feature is finally arriving. In this season, players will team up with the Fallen Captain Mithrax to stop the Vex from plunging Earth into total darkness. Throughout the season we have been struggling to not only deal with this encroaching threat but the uneasiness of allying with Mithrax’s Eliksni. To end the season, Bungie has released a special Epilogue today to officially conclude Season of the Splicer’s story.

How to Beat the Epilogue

When you load up Destiny 2, you will be informed that a new mission will be available. Head to the H.E.L.M. and then go down to where Mithrax’s Servitor is. Interact with this to begin the quest and then head over to the terminal on your left. You will receive from the Vanguard’s local racist, Lakshmi-2 explaining that the Fallen are a threat and that she’s opened a Vex portal to stop them. This goes about as well as you’d expect and you’ll be tasked with cleaning up these foes flooding the Last City.

Instead of going to the Eliksni Quarters, load up the Override in the H.E.L.M. destination map. This will be a new Override that focuses primarily on Taken enemies and is located in the Eliksni’s refugee camp. Outside of the enemy type, nothing has changed so complete the Override as you normally would. There’s no new boss or obstacle course, so this shouldn’t be too difficult. I do recommend putting on Unstoppable Champion mods, otherwise, you will struggle a bit whenever you go into the portal.

After completing the Override and opening the chest you’ll be instructed to go speak to Saint-14. Regardless if you go to orbit or go to the Tower, a cutscene will trigger. I won’t spoil anything, but I strongly recommend you don’t skip it. Once the cutscene concludes, you will be dropped into Orbit where you can fly to the Tower to speak to everyone’s favorite Titan. After speaking with Saint-14, go to the other side of the Tower to talk to Ikora which will complete the Season of the Splicer Epilogue.

There are no additional rewards for completing the Epilogue, so don’t worry too much if you cannot complete it. That being said, if you are invested in the game’s overall narrative then it’s absolutely worth logging on just to finish it. With the new season set to launch on August 24th, you only have a couple of weeks to complete any quests that are still lingering around. You will want to make sure to turn in all your Vanguard Tokens since these will be useless when the new season releases at the end of the month.
