Destiny 2 Sleepless God Roll Guide - PVE, PVP, & How to Get

Sleepless doesn't have the most explosive perk combinations, but it can be a good rocket.

Season of the Wish is upon us in Destiny 2! With it comes a slew of new weapons to collect and a whole heaping of reissued guns as well. Naturally, that means everyone is itching to get their hands on the best possible roll. But early on it can be really hard to know what will perform the best. In this guide, we tell you how to obtain Sleepless and make some early god roll recommendations for the latest Destiny 2 rocket launcher.

We’ve teamed up with Stardust, one of the people behind Clarity - D2 Research, a Destiny 2 project which provides highly trusted explanations of perks, mods, and more for websites like Destiny Item Manager (DIM), Light.gg, Foundry, and more! With his extensive knowledge and experience studying weapons in depth for thousands of hours and keeping a close eye on the meta at all times at every level, he’s more than qualified to make these selections.

How to Obtain

You’ll be able to get the Sleepless after completing Dreaming City activities. These include the Blind Well, the Shattered Throne dungeon, Ascendant Challenge chests, and Season of the Wish activities.

About Sleepless

Sleepless is a Legendary Power rocket launcher that has the High-Impact Frame archetype. This causes slow firing, but it’s powerful. Moreover, it will become more accurate when stationary, moving slowly, or while aiming down sights. It also possesses the Advanced Reflexes origin trait that grants mobility, handling, and charge rate bonuses after taking damage, aiming down sights, or guarding quickly.

Sleepless PVE God Roll

For PVE, Quick Launch increases the Sleepless projectile velocity and its handling. For the magazine, picking Impact Casing increases its stability. For add-clear though, the Field Prep and Bipod combination is ideal. The first expands the Sleepless ammo reserves and the latter increases its ammo and reserves, but reduces its blast radius and reload speed.

Best PVE Perks by Column Number

  • Quick Launch
  • Impact Casing or Alloy Casing
  • Field Prep or Auto-Loading Holster
  • Bipod or Chain Reaction

Quick Launch barrel works for the PVP Sleepless god roll too. High-Velocity Rounds further increases the projectile speed and the reload speed, making it more suitable for PVP encounters. While its effect is limited in PVP, Tracking Module will be helpful since it launches tracking rockets that lock onto targets when ADS. Finally, Chain Reaction rewards each final blow with an elemental explosion.

Best PVP Perks by Column Number

  • Quick Launch
  • High-Velocity Rounds
  • Tracking Module
  • Chain Reaction or Demolitionist
