Destiny 2 Wishing All the Best Guide - Walkthrough & Quest Steps

Queen Mara Sov struck a deal with the Spirit of Riven to wish for the power to reach the Witness, but there’s a lot you have to do for the Ahamkara.

Destiny 2 Season of the Wish’s ongoing weekly questline begins right after you finish the Final Wish mission and mini-quest that opens the season. Mara Sov and her Techeuns were successful at conjuring the spirit of the Ahamkara Riven, thanks to your efforts, but the beast refuses to grant Savathun’s Final Wish that would allow forces to follow the Witness inside the Traveler. However, a bargain is struck: Riven will help if you track down her eggs to preserve the future of the species.

As much as Mara Sov despises Riven for cursing the Dreaming City, she reluctantly agrees to the plan. Thus begins the Wishing All the Best seasonal questline that involves tracking down Riven’s eggs and protecting Riven’s Lair from various threats over the course of many weeks. Here’s our guide for every step of the way.

Wishing All the Best Quest Walkthrough

Week 1

1. Speak to Riven

Speak to Riven to learn the location of her last clutch of eggs.

Use the portal right next to Mara Sov in the eastern wing of the HELM to be transported to the place where you can speak with the Ahamkara. Once Riven’s physical body died, she was freed from Taken control. So she once again has her free will. The Techeuns use up a great deal of energy to continue manifesting Riven’s spirit, so she urges you to quickly track down her “last clutch of eggs from her lair within the Confluence.”

Right after this conversation is a great time to pick up some Spirit of Riven bounties. When you’re ready, launch the Riven’s Lair arena activity from the HELM map screen.

2. Search for Riven's eggs in Riven's Lair.

Riven believes she knows the location of her eggs. Enter Riven’s Lair and retrieve them.

You’ll spawn right in front of Riven’s spirit. Your main goal in the Riven’s Lair activity is to “Traverse the Lair and Slay What Lurks Within.” Go through the portal to enter an echo of the Dreaming City. Each Riven’s Lair run unfolds like this: a platforming section where you have to activate three plates, a combat room, another platforming section, another combat encounter, and then the boss fight. All of the above are randomly generated, but there’s a limited number of possibility.

With your first Riven’s Lair run complete, open the chest of rewards at the end. Riven is angered that her brood is missing and blames Mara Sov, but nobody seems to know the truth about what happened to the eggs. In any case, it’s time to debrief with Petra Venj, which you can do at the holoprojector located in Queen Mara’s wing aboard the HELM

3. Speak with Petra at the holoprojector.

Petra is ready to relay the Techeun’s findings.

Head to the Wing of the Wish and interact with the holoprojector to the right. Petra Venj is no more kind towards Riven than the Queen. She explains that Riven’s eggs have been cast adrift on the Ley Lines of the Ascendant Plane and now orbit reality “like comets around a sun.” Nobody knows how or why this happened, but because the Techeuns were once cast about the Ascendant Realm in similar fashion, they can use their knowledge to track each egg’s trajectory.

The next course of action, then, is to use the Blind Well to reroute the Ley Lines through Riven’s Lair which will theoretically function like a net to “catch” the eggs as they fly around the paracausal cosmos.

4. Complete Blind Well runs in the Dreaming City. Higher-tier completions reward additional progress.

Move the Ley Lines into position by completing the Blind Well activity in the Dreaming City.

The Blind Well is a dimensional rift generator that’s the focus of a horde mode activity of the same name, which was added to the game with the Forsaken expansion as part of the Dreaming City. To do it, open up your destination director andselect the swirling icon north of The Strand and South of Rheasilvia.

Essentially, you deposit charges into the Blind Well itself, and that summons enemies for your to fight. Participate enough times, and you’ll reach the 100 percent progress needed for this quest. Doing Tier III twice should be enough to do just that. Once you’ve completed this step, Mara Sov will let you know, and the next step will trigger.

5. Complete the mission "Polysemy" and retrieve Riven's egg.

With the Ley Lines in position, enter Riven’s Lair to recover an egg.

Polysemy” is a special version of Riven’s Lair you can fire up via the HELM in the directory, just above and to the right of the regular Riven’s Lair icon. In it, you “crawl through the Sensorium wing of Riven’s Lair and retrieve her clutch.” As the eggs orbit around reality, you’ll have to catch it now that the Ley Lines are aligned properly.

Follow the path before you through portals, activating small platforms in tight caverns. Watch out for spike traps on the floor and rock platforms that slide out of the wall, because both of these can kill you instantly. You’ll eventually face Arc-Powered Minotaur that drops an Arc Cranium you can pick up to destroy the Vex power nodes shielding an Enraged Ogre. Once you defeat it, proceed forward.

You’ll proceed through cavern with another three small platforms and an escape portal. The Rally Banner circle ahead indicates that the mission is nearly through. You’ll face a large shielded Hydra associated with the Witness, and the only way to break down its shield is by using Arc Craniums dropped by the Arc-Powered Minotaurs that spawn. Particularly if you’re running this solo, let the Minotaurs come to you on the one platform that offers cover, then use the Craniums to whittle away at the Hydra’s overshield. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to ever regenerate, so you can take your time.

The biggest issue a few waves in is the horde of Vex Fanatics that spawn, so they’ll explode if they touch you for an instant kill. Keep your distance and be sure to clear out all of the lesser enemies you can before you even try damaging the boss. Take things slow to eventually unlock a nearby door with one of Riven’s eggs behind it.

6. Listen to Mara and Osiris in the HELM

Mara, still reluctant to trust Riven, seeks alternate solutions from Osiris.

Head back to the H.E.L.M to overhear a conversation between Mara and Osiris. While you’re helping Riven track down her eggs, Mara is studying the schematics of the Veil alongside Osiris.

Osiris has learned how the Witness opened the Traveler by studying the Veil, but he can’t replicate it yet. The idea here is that if Osiris can figure this out, then they needn’t bother with Riven at all, which is risky at best. Their conversation includes a reminder that the Witness opened up the portal through your Ghost using the Veil in some fashion, and Osiris is concerned that trying too hard to manipulate the Veil could trigger some sort of curse akin to what happened to the Dreaming City.

7. Speak to Riven

You have acquired the first Ahamkara egg, but there is still more to accomplish.

Your next task is to debrief with Riven, who immediately tells you that she is well aware of Queen Mara’s contingency plans. She recounts how the Awoken and Ahamkara were allies for ages to mutual benefit. Like the current bargain hunting for eggs, it was not built on trust, but the knowledge that following through benefitted both parties greatly.

Riven says the only thing left to do for now is to wait for the next egg to enter orbit with reality (in Week 2) so that you can try and claim it. She encourages you to continue clearing out enemies from her lair in the meantime and gives you a weapon for your troubles.

8. Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Once you’ve completed Step 7, Riven will give you a Lair Key that activates the Caught in The Coil side quest that mainly involves more Riven’s Lair runs. But until Week 2, that wraps up Wishing All the Best.

Week 2

9. Speak to Riven

Season of the Wish Week 2 kicks off with a visit to the Spirit of Riven. Another Ahamkara egg is orbiting closer to our realm, so she requests that you head into Riven’s Lair again to make efforts towards reclaiming it. Riven also makes it abundantly clear that Mara Sov cannot be trusted as she works in the shadows and does not reveal the full truth. Whether or not that’s true, it’s time to run the Tautology mission in Riven’s Lair, which you can begin in the HELM map just abot Riven’s Lair and The Coil.

10. Complete the mission "Tautology" in Riven's Lair.

Tautology takes place in the First Steps wing of Riven’s Lair through the center portal. Riven spends her time taunting Petra Venj over comms as you make your way to the first platforming section.

Once you enter the Fetid Conduit, trigger the plate immediately left of the font of light. Then hug the far right wall to reach the second. Continue in that direction towards the next font of light to find the third. (You may want to bring a weapon with some range to it to handle the Taken enemies in this cavern.)

In the Temple of the Queen’s Wrath, eliminate the Taken Wizards to claim a series of relics to light the torches in the room. In the platforming section ahead, the first plate is directly ahead of you on a platform. Then, double back and drop down to the right to find the second tucked behind a pillar. The third and final plate is on the far side near a font of light, just before the exit.

The final fight takes place in the Lararium against Ungoloth, Wayward Beast. Destroy the Taken Wizards that hover near the fonts of light to bring down Ungoloth’s impervious shields. After defeating the Taken Ogre, you’ll be able to transmat Riven’s egg to her. Meanwhile, Riven and Mara Sov will accuse each other over the comms. Who’s really the villain here?

11. Speak with Petra at the holoprojector.

Head back to the HELM and speak to Petra Venj via the holoprojector directly in front of Queen Mara’s temporary throne on the right side of the ship. The rest of the clutch will never reach reality on their current trajectory. But Petra and Mara have a plan: The Techeuns once worked with Harbingers, entities capable of traversing the Ley Lines. Mara’s personal Harbinger can help, but you have to retrieve a Starlight Lodestone that Mara can use to communicate with the Harbinger.

To do this, you’ll have to enter the Chamber of Starlight.

12. Complete the Chamber of Starlight Lost Sector in the Dreaming City.

Before you begin this next step, consider paying Petra Venj a visit in the Dreaming City. She ought to have at least a couple bounties that can overlap with this leg of the quest. If you’re lucky, she could have a bounty specifically to complete the Chamber of Starlight.

Despite what the area map will tell you, the Chamber of Starlight is actually accessed from Rheasilvia. You have to drop down into the narrow canyon created by the river far below and enter the cave. The Taken Hobgoblins will be the biggest problem throughout this Lost Sector. The boss is Inkasi, Disciple of Quria. This Taken Wizard should be on the right as you enter the final area, and the Starlight Lodestone will be in the Lost Sector chest after you defeat them. A lot of the comms chatter focuses on Petra lamenting her happy memories in the Dreaming City from before the curse.

13. Meet with Crow and Petra.

Your next step is to observe a conversation between Crow and Petra that happens in the same room below Mara’s throne on the HELM, where she previously talked to Osiris. Their conversation is a good reminder that it was Riven who was controlling Uldren in the Forsaken era, so it was essentially Riven who killed Cayde-6.

14. Speak with Osiris at the holoprojector.

Speaking of Osiris, he has an update on his Veil research. Speak to him at the holoprojector across from Mara’s throne. He reveals that Veil and Traveler have always been linked together, and that the Witness accessed this link using your Ghost. “The Veil is the power of consciousness made manifest in the physical world,” Osiris says, reminding us that the Veil is to the Darkness what the Traveler is to the Light. He promises to keep researching a way to access the Pale Heart of the Traveler as a contingency plan should the alliance with Riven go south.

15. Speak to Riven

Your last step in Week 2 is to visit Riven, so walk through the portal nearby to do just that. Riven gets nostalgic about how “deliciously reckless” both Uldren and Mara Sov have been for as long as the Ahamkara have known them. All that’s left to do from here is to wait for the Techeuns to use the Starlight Lodestone to find another egg. As a reward, Riven gives you a Lethophobia Void-powered combat bow.

16. Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Week 3

17. Speak to Riven

Your first step this week is to check in with Riven. The Techeuns have been working on the Starlight Lodestone to help with tracking down Riven’s eggs. The has to be attuned to the Confluence almost like a compass attunes to north. (The Confluence is the area directly under the Blind Well where there’s an Ascendant portal to Mara Sov’s corrupted throne world.)

In the meantime, Riven wants you to delve into the Coil to give help out Queen Mara Sov’s Techeun witches.

18. Calibrate the Starlight Lodestone by completing pathways and collecting Wishing Glass Shards as a fireteam in The Coil. Find Wishing Glass Shards by defeating combatants, destroying pots, and opening hidden chests.

Wishing Glass Shards can seemingly help the Techeuns calibrate the Starlight Lodestone, and the only place to find those is within The Coil. (Therefore, regular Riven’s Lair runs will not count towards progress here.) If you can manage it, completing three pathways in a single run of The Coil and collecting all of the pots and secret chests along the way should be enough to fully calibrate the Starlight Lodestone.

Be sure to check what the active modifiers are on The Coil and lean into whatever Dragon’s Gifts pop up along the way. There’s usually some kind of elemental threat modifier, so consider countering that with a Damage Resistance mod. Check which weapon types are overcharged and bring at least one of those. If there’s an elemental surge, start with a subclass that matches it along with those same weapon types. Pace yourself, don’t waste any revive tokens, and hit all of the pots and secret chests along the way.

19. Speak with Petra at the holoprojector.

Head to the holoprojector in the HELM to speak with Petra Venj. She calls your work in The Coil invaluable. The Starlight Lodestone will serve as a beacon for Mara to commune with her personal Harbinger so it might guide the remaining Ahamkara eggs back toward reality.

The queen needs an open sky to do this, and in the past she used the Spine of Keres (which houses the Oracle Engine), but the Taken currently occupy it as a result of the Dreaming City’s curse. So you have to secure the Spine yourself. Once that’s done, Mara can do her thing.

20. Complete "The Oracle Engine" mission in the Spire of Keres to facilitate communion with the Harbinger.

Before you fire up the mission, consider picking up a few Dreaming City bounties from Petra, as you’ll likely get progress during this mission.

Because of the curse, new Taken arrive in the city during every cycle, so you’ve got to clear them out so the beacon can be lit to call the Harbinger. Once the mission starts, you have to travel around the Divalian Mists (the Dreaming City’s starting area) eliminating three Taken majors to claim the Arc Charges they hold. Then you have to deposit them at a spot in front of a Taken blight blocking your progress west towards the Spine of Keres.

There’s an enemy called the Odynym, a Taken captain, on the left side as you progress forward associated with a triumph, so be sure to eliminate everything you see. Eventually, you’ll need another Arc Charge from a Taken major to open the way into the tower where Petra warns you about two Taken Ogres ahead. They guard the winding tower loaded with Scorch Cannons galore, which make things fairly easy. Eliminating the Soulkeepers Mukor and Ugroth will officially secure the Oracle Engine.

21. Complete the mission "Enthymeme."

The Enthymeme mission is your latest opportunity to retrieve one of Riven’s eggs, thanks to the help from Mara Sov’s Harbinger. It’s another story-based Riven’s Lair run, this time through the right portal to The Crossing and then the Splintered Geode that’s littered with poison gas traps and Scorn. Activate the three plates and then proceed into the Gnashing Chamber.

Destroy enough Scorn for the Mephitic Hosts to appear. Defeat them to gain the Ephemeral Virus that allow you to damage the three invulnerable captains. If you need to, cleanse the Ephemeral Virus before the countdown reaches zero at the well of light in the center of the room. In the Observatory ahead, it’s more poison, Scorn, and plates before the final boss battle against the Locus of Subjugation.

The encounter is identical to how it plays out in Riven’s Lair or The Coil: Defeat the Mephitic Hosts to gain the Ephemeral Virus that allows you to damage the boss and the Well Protector standing on the well of light in the center of the room. Take out the Abomination first, and then focus on the Locus of Subjugation. You’ll have about two minutes before his shield regenerates, which should be more than enough time to burn him down.

Then the next Ahamkara egg is yours.

22. Observe the exchange in the HELM

Crow and Mara debrief after Riven spends most of the Enthymeme mission taunting the former Prince Uldren Sov. Observe their tense conversation at Mara’s temporary throne aboard the HELM. After all, Uldren only turned evil because he was posessed by Riven. At the time, who knew he’d one day be reborn as a Guardian? It’s a touching scene that reaffirms the fact that these two are still siblings, even now.

23. Speak with Osiris at the holoprojector.

Turn right around and use the holoprojector to speak with Osiris about his research on The Veil which is not progressing very well. As the consciousness connected to The Veil ebb and wane, it reforms in unpredictable ways. He contrasts it with the Ascendant Plane, which mirror aspects of the world as determined by willful action whereas The Veil is influence by illogical intent or, in other words, emotions. Based on what he’s learned thus far, Osiris is starting to think that Riven is the only option that the Vanguard has to follow the Witness.

24. Speak to Riven

Just like every other week in Season of the Wish, the last step is to leap through the portal in the HELM to pay Riven a visit in Spirit’s Anchor. She waxes nostalgic about the human impulse for connections whereas the Ahamkara only wish to feed and “drink deep of the gulg between desire and reality.” They seldom mate, which she muses is what probably led to the extinction of her race. In any case, you’ll have to once again wait for Mara’s magical efforts to lure another Ahamkara egg into the orbit of reality.

25. Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Week 4

26. Speak to Riven

To kick off Week 4, the first step is to speak to Riven, who has another lead for you. Mara’s Harbinger was successful at pulling yet another egg close enough to attempt a recovery. This has seemingly convinced Riven that Mara was no the one behind casting the eggs adrift in the cosmos. Manipulating the Ley Lines like this is paracausal, which essential means that either someone wished for this from another Ahamkara, or another Ahamkara deliberately did this. In either case, that’s concerning.

27. Complete the mission "Apophasis."

The Apophasis mission is yet another run in Riven’s Lair. Sol Divisive Vex are pouring into the confluence, which means they probably detected the egg and are trying to retrieve it. So you’ll have to stop them, and you’ll probably notice lines of Vex energies shimmer in the air everywhere.

The leftmost portal opens as chatter between Osiris and Crow indicates that there’s some overlap between the Confluence and the Ley Lines of the Dreaming City. In theory, the Vex could hack into that to cause all sorts of problems.

You’ll have to activate three plates in the Splintered Geode while watching out for the typical spike traps, but the clusters of red Vex energy also function as another trap with the tiny Vex that flies directly at you.

In Reaver’s Orison, you face more Sol Divisive troops with the typical imprisoned Taken Ogre encounter. Eliminate the Arc-Powered Minotaurs and use the Arc Craniums to destroy the Vex nodes powering the Taken Ogre’s cell. Once you kill it, you can move forward into the next platforming section. There’s more Vex and spike traps ahead, bit also Oracles from the Vault of Glass! Osiris and Crow speculate that Sol Divisive is using the memory of the Darkness to do this. Again, watch out for the large red squares that spawn the tiny Vex that dive at you and explode. Hit the typical three plates to open the portal leading forward to the Pavilion for a boss battle against the Deceptor Mind, a Sol Divisive Gate Lord with the typical tree-like growth on it. The Deceptor Mind doesn’t have any sort of overshield like the other Riven’s Lair Vex bosses.

If this fight seems too easy, that’s because as soon as you try to grab the egg, a Vex containment field surrounds it and forces you into a fight against the Centroidal Mind, the large Vex Wyvern you’ve probably encountered in Riven’s Lair or The Coil before. Again, eliminate the Arc-Powered Minotaurs and use their Arc Craniums to bring the boss’s overshield down to damage it. The Centroidal Mind’s shield will come back up if you don’t kill it fast enough, so you may have to repeat the process.

When the dust settles, the Sol Divisive Vex have stolen the egg, and Riven is furious. Osiris mentions that they can probably use the Oracles somehow to figure out a workaround.

28. Speak with Crow in the HELM

Crow has a lead to where they might find the egg that the Vex stole, so go speak with him in the HELM. He’s located in his typical spot on the bottom of the map. From the spawn point, turn around and take the hallway on the left or right to find him leaning by the doorway. Osiris’s working theory is that the Vex figured out how to simulate a Techeun, therefore allowing them to track the egg.

The Vex took the egg to the Black Garden, so just like back in the base campaign of the original Destiny, you’ll have to harvest a Gate Lord’s Eye to get in.

29. Complete the Exotic mission “Starcrossed”

Fire up Starcrossed from the HELM map all the way to the right, adjacent to the icon for The Coil. It’s time to shut down the Sol Divisive in the Black Garden.

Starcrossed is an exotic-tier mission, so even at a power level of 1810, enemies hit hard. There are also unique mechanics and plenty of platforming to contend with. A prevalent mechanic involves walking through pools of light to get the Sire’s of Obligation buff from Riven, which allows you to damage invulnerable Taken Phalanx called Obdurate Phalanx. There’s also Dam’s Gift, which functions a bit like Egregore Link from the Presage exotic mission. You have to acquire the buff in order to traverse certain areas, otherwise you take persistent damage.

The final combat area combines these mechanics into the Crowned by Dragons buff. Then you face the Vex Hydra boss called Akardon, Pitiless Mind. Once the battles over, you claim the Wish-Keeper exotic bow and another Ahamkara egg. As it turns out, the Ahamkara called Taranis was seemingly behind it all. Taranis, Riven’s former mate, speaks through Crow as a vessel and exposes that some part of him had been alive all this time. This more compassionate Ahamkara had a lair within the Black Garden all this time.

Once you leave the mission, you’re treated to a black-and-white cinematic detailing their romance and Riven’s full story. Taranis granted his own wish to scatter the eggs to safety when Riven allowed herself to be Taken by Oryx back in The Taken King. In doing so, it cost his life.

30. Speak to Riven

In the final debrief with Riven, she explains that in granting his own wish, Taranis essentially violated the principle that the Ahamkara feed on, “the difference between ‘what is desired’ and ‘what comes to pass.’” This taboo then becomes a kind of suicide.

31. Wishing All the Best

Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Week 5

32. Speak to Riven

Riven calls upon you to speak about an “urgent matter.” Taken corruptions has seeped into the Confluence just as another egg is about to appear, so Riven urges you to deal with the threat before they claim her offspring.

33. Complete the mission "Synchysis."

Synchysis is yet another mission set in Riven’s Lair, so be sure to pick up corresponding bounties beforehand if you want some extra experience. You head into the center portal where the entire pathway is taken over by blights. Hit the typical three plates in the first platforming section to open the portal leading forward while using the fonts of light to cleanse yourself from the Pervasive Darkness. Along the way, Riven hints that she may be able to free the Dreaming City from its curse, which just seems to irritate Petra Venj. Can they really trust Riven?

In the first combat arena, defeat Taken and dunk the mote of Darkness to light the three braziers. Then it’s another platforming section before facing

As it turns out, the latest egg is partially corrupted by Taken under the influence of Xivu Arath. Queen Mara Sov is at least optimistic that she might be able to reverse the corruption.

34. Speak with Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M.

Head to the HELM to debrief with Mara in her temporary throne room. Because of the bargain struck with Riven, your team owes Riven her entire clutch. She points out that you were once able to reverse the corruption of the Techeun witches because “Taken ontology faced with itself feeds on itself.” In theory, a particular object in the Ascendant Realm could feed upon the Taken essence in the egg, therefore reversing the process.

35. Complete an Ascendant Challenge. You must be Ascendant to see and enter the Ascendant Challenge portal. Consume a Tincture of Queensfoil to become Ascendant for 30 minutes. Petra Venj keeps a stock of Tinctures on hand for situations like these.

Your next task will be to do an Ascendant Challenge, a challenging Dreaming City activity from the Forsaken era. There are six possible Ascendant Challenges as a result of the city’s Curse, but if you go to your Dreaming City map, there should be an icon for the one you need for the ongoing seasonal quest.

In order to complete it, you need to consume a Tincture of Queensfoil which you can purchase from Petra Venj if you need to. It “opens your mind to the secrets of the Dreaming City” and essentially lets you peer into its link to the Ascendant Realm.

Head to the Gardens of Esila through the Strand. Be sure to highlight it on your map, and you should see an icon in the environment on the cliffside. Once you consume the tincture, the Ascendant Portal will appear. Jump through to begin the challenge. You’ll have to grab three Arc Charges and return them to the Blight in the middle of this sprawling area. Holding a charge limits your movement, and falling to your death when running this solo is a full wipe.

Some strategies that can help: Bring a sword to shift into third-person to help with movement, and if you have any exotics or builds that boost movement, particularly jumping, it can go a long way. If you have a means to turn invisible, definitely use that to your advantage. Most of the shadow Thralls are easy to evade, but the giant Knight with an axe hits hard and can knock you off the pathways to your death. Once you’ve dunked all three Arc Charges, you can finally damage the Knights and eliminate all of the enemies. Once you’ve completed the Ascendant Challenge, it’s on to the next step.

36. Speak with Petra at the holoprojector.

The Techeuns very easily prepare a spell to cleanse the egg, but you need a spark of wish magic to power it. You can allow the egg to “feed on your desire” by running through Riven’s Lair as a way to produce this paracausal energy. It’s an interesting lore reason to get the Guardian to run more Riven’s Lair.

37. Complete pathways in Riven's Lair or The Coil to cleanse the egg.

Similar to Wishing All the Best Step 18 from Week 3, you just need to run Riven’s Lair or The Coil until you’ve done it enough times to move on. This will generate enough power to cleanse the egg. Along the way, Mara will coach you about channeling your intention as you do it, but functionally, it’s really no different than regular runs.

38. When theories change, plans must change with them. Riven is about to discuss one such change with Mara and Osiris.

Next up is a conversation between Riven, Mara, and Osiris that takes place at the Spirit of Riven.

Osiris explains that the Veil alone cannot replicate the Witness’s path because it is constantly shifting. Savathun’s wish can weave the Ley Lines into the Veil. Riven promises to tell the whole truth, which is that Savathun’s wish can only grant a single person passage. Mara is furious and sees this as a deception, but Osiris seems optimistic that this simplifies matters.

39. Speak with Osiris at the holoprojector.

At the holoprojector across from Mara’s throne, Osiris reiterates the “one to send” manta. The Witness used the Veil to redirect the Traveler’s own energy to open the door into the Pale Heart, something that cannot be done. However, if you follow through on helping Riven and complete the final wish, then you can send one person through to open the door, and keep it open. For now, one egg remains.

40. Speak to Riven

The last step this week is to talk to Riven, who admits to being grateful that Mara was able to save the corrupted egg. She also explains that the Witness is as much her enemy as it is yours.

The Witness’s Final Shape would “erase the difference between desire and reality,” functionally destroying the Ahamkara. Due to the nature of the deal with Riven, ALL of the eggs have to be collected in order to grant the wish to open the path.

41. Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Week 6

42. Speak to Riven

The final egg from Riven’s clutch has been located, but it can only be reached with some preparation. In speaking with Riven, you find out that the egg is on its way, but it’ll take some time before it’s within reach. This will give Petra Venj and the Techeuns time to prepare.

43. Speak with Crow in the H.E.L.M.

For now, talk to Crow at his usual spot behind the spawn point in the HELM. He has an idea to diversity their options: Mara and Crow share a bond that transcends the Ascendant Realm, so if he were to go through rather than you, they can use that connection to help open the way into the Traveler’s Pale Heart. In theory, Mara can use her bond with Crow to guide everyone through after he plants the beacon.

44. Speak with Petra at the holoprojector.

Petra says the final egg is in the heart of the Confluence where the dormant Oracle Engine resides, but activating it will prove challenging thanks to the Vex. There are Vex Oracles preventing them from accessing the Oracle Engine, so your priority here is to destroy them.

45. Defeat combatants and destroy Vex Oracles in the Spine of Keres, Harbinger's Seclude, and Gardens of Esila.

If you track the Wishing All the Best questline, it’ll highlight three areas in the Dreaming City where you can defeat enemies and destroy Vex Oracles: the Spine of Keres, Harbinger’s Seclude, and Gardens of Esila. Because you’re doing a lot of Dreaming City activities for this, consider a visit to Petra Venj in person to pick up some bounties. These three locations are in the south, northwest, and northeast areas of the map, and they’ll be highlighted on the map as long as you’re tracking the quest. It doesn’t matter what order you do them in, so you might as well see about hitting up some Public Events along the way.

The Vex Oracles are large crystalline objects suspended in the air in fairly prominent locations. When in doubt, if you see something strange, just shoot at it. If it takes damage, then that’s probably a Vex Oracle. When you defeat enemies in any of the areas above, they’ll drop Prismatic Telemetry. Your goal is to collect enough to restore each of the three areas. (And the Vex Oracles drop 25 Prismatic Telemetry, which goes a long way.) When you’re done each step, you won’t get any kind of notification, so be sure to check your progress in the quests tab.

46. Complete Blind Well runs in the Dreaming City. Higher-tier completions reward additional progress.

Now it’s back to the Blind Well to receive an offering from the Oracle that will allow you access to Mara’s throne room and the final egg. If you run Tier III twice and use an Unstable Charge of Light to do the Heroic version, then you should have more than enough to get the Oracle’s offering.

47. Visit Mara's throne.

With the offering in tow, it’s time to visit Mara’s throne, her real throne located in the far off reaches of space, accessible in the Spine of Keres through using the Oracle Engine. Present the offering to the Oracle Engine to open a portal. With the way unlocked, Mara will reflect on her time as a distant monarch. With the Oracle Engine restored, it will allow you to reach the heart of the Confluence where the final egg resides.

48. Crow has a plan. Visit the H.E.L.M. to hear what Mara and Osiris have to say about that.

Crow is finally ready to tell Mara and Osiris about his plan to go through into the Pale Heart of the Traveler as part of the Final Wish. The connection between Mara and Uldren is a tangible collision of the Light and Darkness, and Osiris thinks he could use this to build a bridge connecting the Veil and the Traveler. So once Crow establishes some kind of beacon, Osiris will construct a bridge using the Veil, and you’ll follow. What could go wrong?

49. Speak to Riven

Riven comments about how much she admires Uldren/Crow and Mara and waxes philosophical about how their altruism is even more dangerous than ambition. As Season of the Wish’s ongoing story hurdles towards its finale, the only thing left to do is wait.

50. Mara Sov will call upon you once the Techeuns have calculated the location of another Ahamkara egg. Until then, continue to defend Riven's Lair against trespassers.

Week 7

51. Speak to Riven

At long last, it is time to recover the final egg in Riven’s clutch, so the first step is to speak with her. In Spirit’s Anchor, Riven says that the last egg is about to enter the heart of the Confluence. Once it’s acquired, Riven will grant Savathun’s final wish. She adds that the Techeuns will no longer be able to conjure Riven’s spirit. She finds solace in the fact that her brood will live on and prevent the Ahamkara from going totally extinct.

52. Complete the mission "Chiasmus" and retrieve the final egg.

The Chiasmus mission sends you into the heart of the Confluence to claim the last egg, which is part of Riven’s Lair. Taranis himself hid this egg here, right under Queen Mara Sov’s nose. Proceed through the run as normal, but the first combat arena will take place in the Ascendant Plane in an area called Astral Cloister. It has the same mechanics as a typical Riven’s Lair run: eliminate Scorn to draw out the Mephetic Hosts, then use the Ephemeral Virus to take out the shielded enemies. There’s a font of light at the center of the main platform you can use to cleanser the virus if the countdown gets too low.

Osiris and Mara chatter about Fikrul, the leader of the Scorned Barons. Sometime before The Witch Queen, he was driven from the Tangled Shore. Now, he’s trying to get his own wish from the Ahamkara. In the final boss fight set in Caliginous Expanse, you’ll face a scorn called Elikaa, the Pale Rot. You’ll have to once again defeat Mephetic Hosts to gain the Ephemeral Virus to damage Elikaa when its shields go up, but otherwise it’s a fairly straightforward fight against a ton of Scorn.

When the dust settles, you’re free to claim the final egg.

53. Speak with Crow in the HELM

Before you execute on the final wish, Crow will speak to you at his usual place in the HELM. He gets sentimental about the Guardian helping him find his footing when he was resurrected as Crow rather than Uldren Sov.

54. Go to the Wall of Wishes to make the Fifteenth Wish.

Now it’s time to go to the Wall of Wishes in the Dreaming City, but before you fire up the mission, consider running a Strand subclass. There’s a lot of platforms on the way to the Wall of Wishes so the Grapple will come in handy.

When you reach the wall, shoot each of the four symbols that appear, transforming them into Riven’s face. With this final wish, Riven once again retreats into whatever afterlife the Ahamkara have. You’ll be treated to a cutscene of her executing on the wish and Crow leaping through a portal to the inside of the Traveler. The plan seems to have gone well considering the fact that Mara can indeed still feel him as he embarks on this journey.

55. Speak with Mara Sov in the HELM

The very last step in the seasonal questline is to talk with Mara. She notes that should the time come, she might help Riven’s offspring, something that Riven herself hinted at before she left. Now, your job is to wipe out the Sol Divisive in the Dreaming City while Osiris figures out a way to build a bridge to the Traveler’s Pale heart using the Veil. That will probably take a full five months leading up to the launch of The Final Shape on June 4, 2024.
