Bungie is Adding Weapon Focusing to Banshee-44

Bungie shared Banshee-44's weapon focusing rotation, foundry weapon pool, and upcoming changes in Season 23.

The This Week In Destiny blog post shared changes Bungie is making in Season 23 regarding the Tower vendor Banshee-44. Like seasonal, raid, and ritual vendors in Destiny 2, Banshee will offer weapon focusing.

Foundry weapons such as Veist, Suros, Hakke, and Omolon have been integral since Destiny, giving players a better chance at getting their desired rolls.

There are several foundry weapons out there, but Banshee will only have weapons from Season 16 to Season 19 available for focusing. However, players can only get those particular foundry weapons from Gunsmith engrams and focusing, not through Legendary engram world drops. This change removes Banshee's weekly weapon selection as well.

Gunsmith Weapon Focusing Rotation

Bungie said that the Gunsmith will offer two foundry weapons at a time, and the one foundry option will rotate with the daily reset. Here's what the Banshee weapon focusing rotation looks like:

Day 1

  • Omolon
  • Suros

Day 2

  • Suros
  • Häkke

Day 3

  • Häkke
  • Veist

  • Veist
  • Omolon

The TWID noted that the rotation repeats on the fifth day.

Gunsmith Engrams

Keep in mind, foundry weapon focusing requires three Gunsmith engrams and 5,000 Glimmer. Players can get Gunsmith engrams form ranking up with the Banshee, completing Lost Sectors, and grabbing chests on patrol. Master Solo and Platinum score Lost Sectors completions have the highest chance.

Additionally, Season 24 will introduce weapons from Season 20 into the pool and add a new foundry category for Field-Forged weapons. This week's blog post was on the lighter sight, but weapon focusing for Destiny's Gunsmith is a significant change.
