The second week of Destiny 2’s Dawning 2023 event has just begun, bringing with it more holiday-themed items in the Eververse store. This week, the three equipment items — a ghost, ship, and sparrow — that are new to this year’s event are available for Bright Dust.
The Cygnus Shell is one of 2023’s new Dawning Ghost Shells and is part of the Bundle Up set. The Shell’s feathery style is in line with a white winter bird theme that runs across many of Dawning 2023's items, including the new armor ornaments. The Cygnus Shell, in particular, is inspired by swans (cygnus is latin for swan), and this can be seen in its regal gold and whites, as well as the general wing shape. The Cygnus Shell is available for 2,850 Bright Dust, making it the most expensive of this week’s new items.
Filigree Rover is the new Dawning ship on offer this week, it is also part of the Bundle Up set with the Cygnus Shell. Like the Cygnus Shell, Filigree Rover is inspired by birds and feathers with gold detailing. Filigree Rover does not seem to take from one bird in particular, instead aiming for more of an abstract wing shape. Filigree Rover is the cheapest of this week’s new items at 2,000 Bright Dust.
The final new Dawning cosmetic available for Bright Dust this week is the Supercool Moto Sparrow. This is the only new cosmetic available this week that is not part of the Bundle Up set, so if wintery birds do not fit your style perhaps this Sparrow will suit better. Supercool Moto instead takes the appearance of a snowmobile. The snowmobile appearance is purely aesthetic so the skis never touch the ground, Supercool Moto still is a Sparrow after all.
However, to help make the snowmobile fantasy convincing, Supercool Moto’s jet releases a snowy visual effect when boosting. Supercool Moto is available for 2,500 Bright Dust at Eververse.
