How to Farm White Gatherers’ Scrips in FFXIV

In Final Fantasy XIV, White Gatherers’ Scrips are a reward for gathering and turning in all but the very rarest of collectables. Used to obtain gear, materials, furnishings, and a host of other materials for Gatherers and Crafters, White Gatherers’ Scrips are one of the most important endgame currencies for Disciples of Land.

However, despite their seeming ubiquity and multitude of uses, it can be difficult to work out the best way to quickly gather White Gatherers’ Scrips. Luckily, there are some good ways to gather this sought-after currency. Here’s how to farm White Gatherers’ Scrips in FFXIV.

Farming White Gatherers’ Scrips in FFXIV

There are three main ways to farm White Gatherers’ Scrips in FFXIV - one with a per-week limit, an unlimited method that requires a bit more work, and a one-time option. Here are all three methods to help you decide the best way to farm up this precious currency.

Custom Deliveries

Custom Deliveries will reward you with a limited amount of White Gatherers’ Scrips, dependant on the collectability of the items you gather. Lower-level custom deliveries, such as Zhloe Aliapoh, will reward smaller amounts, while more recent Custom Delivery NPCs, such as Ameliance Leveilleur, Anden, and Margrat, will reward larger amounts per collectable. The number of scrips varies by the quality of the collectable you deliver.

You can make six deliveries a week, and will earn up to a maximum of 170 White Gatherers’ Scrips per collectable delivered, dependent on the NPC and the collectability of the item delivered. This means you can easily earn 1020 White Gatherers’ Scrips per week with a relatively easy delivery. 

Collectable Exchange

Gathering collectables is the other way of farming White Gatherers’ Scrips. This is a more difficult way, due to the fact you’ll need to have the gathering locations of these items unlocked, and have to travel around to the nodes at the correct time. However, you can earn up to 42 White Gatherers’ Scrips per item if you hit max collectability.

The best way to do this is to use a third-party website such as ffxiv-gathering. This way you can find out which nodes are about to pop, gather there, and then be ready and waiting for the next one. This will almost certainly cost you a fair bit of gil due to teleport costs, but it is the best infinitely repeatable way to earn White Gatherers’ Scrips.

Studium Deliveries

The Studium Deliveries are an incredible one-time way to gather White Gatherers’ Scrips. During each quest chain, you have an opportunity to obtain between 600 and 750 White Gatherers’ Scrips on each delivery if you hit max collectability on the material. This means you can potentially earn thousands of White Gatherers’ Scrips just by completing this already pretty essential gathering questline. 

Farming White Gatherers’ Scrips as a Fisher?

While the above methods can be applied to Fisher (albeit with fishing locations rather than gathering nodes), Fisher also has its own very efficient way of gathering White Gatherers’ Scrips. After you’ve used your weekly Custom Deliveries and completed the Studium Deliveries, Ocean Fishing expeditions can be a great source of White Gatherers’ Scrips for Fishers.
