As you work toward success with your Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV, collecting materials is part of your daily activities. The Island Palm Leaf should be part of your gathering routine, considering you need it to craft tools and handicrafts as well. You find them in more than one place on the island, so learning the right spots to get Island Palm Leaves is fundamental to farming it efficiently.
If you haven’t unlocked Island Sanctuary yet, you'll need to do that first. This is not only a cute, relaxing side content for you to escape the routine, you can actually use the island to make a lot of gil.
Before starting your empire, you need to increase the rank of your island. Part of this journey is farming items and although the Island Sanctuary helps you keep track of material locations with the Sanctuary Gathering Log, it doesn’t show all the places where you can find them.
How to get Island Palm Leaves in FFXIV’s Island Sanctuary
You can get Island Palm Leaves by activating “Gathering” mode and interacting with the Palm Trees on the island. There are other types of trees, so you need to look for the right ones. You don’t need a specific tool to collect Island Palm Leaves, these are obtainable from Palm Trees at the beginning of your island adventure.
The places on the island where you can find Palm Leaves are as follow:
- Pristine Pond: The main location and where the Sanctuary Gathering Log shows to find Island Palm Leaf is around Pristine Pond at X: 18.2 Y: 24.2. Around this region, you find a total of 10 palm trees. This is one of the best farming spots since all the nodes are close and there are enough of them to trigger their respawn with only one hit to another node.
- Pirate Bay: Another farm location for Island Palm Leaves is in the Pirate Bay area. There are five palm trees on the beach from X: 17.0 Y: 13.2 to X: 14.0 Y: 13.4. This is not a bad spot to farm Island Palm Leaves especially if you want to collect other materials found in the area.
- South of Rocky Reef: At X: 29.1 Y: 12.9, you can find a single palm tree. Considering this is far from the others, it’s difficult to include it in a farm route – unless you like to stroll around the island.
- Coral Sands: You can find seven palm trees in Coral Sands, the beach on the east side of the island. The area where you can find the tree is fairly large from X: 29.0 Y: 26.5 to X: 30.8 Y: 23.5.
- Peak Point: While there are only two palm trees in this area (X: 27.5 Y: 30.5 and X: 29.8 Y: 27.8), you can consider Peak Point as an extension of the Coral Sands route.
