As promised, Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.57 update has arrived, bringing with it tweaks and changes to make the final few months of Endwalker a simpler and more streamlined process. Unveiled on Feb. 13, the full list of changes and updates was posted to FFXIV’s official Lodestone site.
There’s a few big changes, mainly to Savage raid gear limits and Tomestones of Comedy weekly caps, but beyond that, this is a smaller patch tiding players over until some new content.
Limits on Pandæmonium: Anabaseios (Savage) rewards removed
The weekly limit from the final tier of Savage raids in Endwalker have finally been lifted. That means it’s finally time to finish off your Best-in-Slot (BiS), without a time gate. As per the patch notes, treasure Treasure coffers will now always appear, with no reduction of rewards, regardless of whether any party members have previously cleared the raids.
The weekly entrance restriction is also gone. You can also now proceed directly to any fight, regardless of order, and players will now receive the power of the Echo.
Allagan Tomestones of Comedy weekly limit has been increased
You can now receive 900 instead of 450 Tomestones of Comedy per week, but the maximum of 2,000 hasn’t changed. That means it’s going to be far easier to kit out those alts, and make sure you’re ready for Dawntrail.
Another change is that the number of Allagan Tomestones of Comedy offered for completing one line of Khloe's Wondrous Tails has been increased from 50 to 300, giving a boost to your weekly Comedy tomestone farming if you're lucky enough to earn at least one line.
Pray return to the Waking Sands
Forever etched into the minds of players pre-shortening of the Main Scenario Quest (MSQ), the trip to Vesper Bay and the Waking Sands was a vital right of passage for new players. Removed when the MSQ got chopped down by a couple dozen quests, new players are now given Vesper Bay Aetheryte Tickets to make those returns to the Waking Sands easier.
But it seems they were burning through those Vesper Bay tickets just a little too quickly, and new players are now being given around three times as many as a reward for completing certain quests. Full details can be found in the patch notes, but players will now find themselves with a stack of 99 of these Vesper Bay Aetheryte Tickets if none are used during their MSQ journey.
