Today's journey takes us to the Dry Valley, where our initial task is to gather local resources for survival. With thorough preparation, we may withstand the harsh climate and, more crucially, the creatures that prowl the desert. Here's the method to obtain Flexwood in LEGO Fortnite.
How to Get Flexwood
Flexwood is dropped after chopping cacti in the Dry Valley region. Now, how on Earth chopping cacti gets us a valuable and usable for crafting type of wood is beyond me, but let us suspend our disbelief. Finding the Dry Valley region may be a bit challenging because its location varies from player to player, so you will need to explore and walk for a while.
Surviving the Dry Valley in LEGO Fortnite
Since the Dry Valley is extremely hot, you will need to drink some Snowberry Shakes - craftable at the Juicer - or use a Cool-Headed charm - craftable starting at an Uncommon Crafting Bench. I will only include the recipe for the Uncommon Cool-Headed Charm in the table below:

Crafting a Rare Crafting Bench and Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite
With that being said, to chop down these cacti, you will have to get a Rare Pickaxe which is only obtainable from a Rare Crafting Bench. First, let's take a look at the materials necessary to upgrade to an Uncommon Crafting Bench:
- 8x Plank: Chop Wood from trees and process it at a Lumber Mill.
- 3x Shell: Kill Rollers in the Grasslands region.
Then, use the following materials to upgrade to a Rare Crafting Bench:
- 12x Knotroot Rod: Mine Knotroot from Grasslands caves and process it in a Lumber Mill.
- 15x Marble Slab: Use a Stone Breaker to process Marble - found inside Grasslands caves.
- 6x Sand Claw: Find and kill Sand Wolves in the Dry Valley region.
- 3x Sand Shell: Find and kill Sand Rollers in the Dry Valley region.
Now that we have our Rare Crafting Bench, we will need to use it to craft a Rare Forest Axe. You will need the following resources to do so:
- 5x Cut Amber: Find Amber across the Dry Valley region and process it at a Stone Breaker.
- 3x Knotroot Rod.
The last step is just to step into the desert and find any cacti that you come across and use your Rare Forest Axe to take them down. It will take a couple of swings, but once you destroy it, several pieces of Flexwood will drop for you to collect. Use this Flexwood to craft Rare weapons and tools that will help you out during your stay in the Dry Valley region.
