Neuvillette Farming Schedule & Locations

All of Neuvillette's ascension & talent materials with a suggested farming schedule.

Genshin Impact’s Patch 4.5 is heading towards Phase 2, which means Fontaine’s Iudex Neuvillette’s first banner rerun, along with Kazuha’s. After his debut in 4.1, the 5 star Hydro Catalyst Neuvillette will be soon available for another round of wishing. If you missed him during his first appearance this is your chance to snatch a copy of him, he is absolutely worth it.

This guide provides you with the information you need to prepare for his arrival and have him well on his way to being fully functional for the team the very moment you obtain him.

ASCENSION MATERIALS

Like every Hydro Element Character, Neuvillette requires several copies of Lazurite in various grades (you can craft at the Alchemy Bench in each major city) and quantities (Level 1 to 90):

  • 1 x Varunada Lazurite Sliver
  • 9 x Varunada Lazurite Fragment
  • 9 x Varunada Lazurite Chunk
  • 6 x Varunada Lazurite Gemstone

As for mobs, Fontemer Aberrants are the enemies of choice with a drop that can also be crafted at the Alchemy Bench as needed (Ascension 1 to 90):

  • 18 x Transoceanic Pearls
  • 30 x Transoceanic Chunks
  • 36 x Xenochromatic Crystal

Neuvillette’s Normal Boss “Millennial Pearl Seahorse” was introduced in patch 4.1 and you can find it in the Liffey Region area of Fontaine. Its drop is the Fontemer Unihorn, of which you need 48 in order to ascend your character to level 90.

In addition, you also want to harvest a total of 168 Lumitoile, a starfish like creature which can be found along the shores and underwater in the Liffey Region of Fontaine. Since Lumitoile respawn every 48 hours, you should be able to collect the amount needed in about 3 days, unless you can join a friend in their world and harvest your fill before then.

ASCENSION MATERIALS

Ascending your character is absolutely necessary, but in order to get the maximum output, you will also want to level up the talents. In order to do so, you can farm Talent Books available three days a week. Different Classes of characters require different books and Neuvillette uses the Equity series, divided in 3 grades (higher grades can be crafted at the Alchemy Bench):

  • 9 x Teachings of Equity
  • 63 x Guide to Equity
  • 114 x Philosophies of Equity

The Equity Talent Books series is available on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. The name of the Domain is “Pale Forgotten Glory” and is located North East of Poisson in the underwater area of Fontaine.

Together with the Talent Books, you need to defeat more Fontemer Aberrants for an extra:

  • 18 x Transoceanic Pearls
  • 66 x Transoceanic Chunks
  • 93 x Xenochromatic Crystal

Next you are required to face the Weekly World Boss Apep, a Dendro Dragon located in the Sumeru Desert Domain “The Realm of Beginnings” (Unlocked in Nahida’s Story Quest).

You can challenge Apep as many times you want but are allowed to redeem rewards only once a week at the cost of 30 Original Resins

What you are looking for is a drop called Everamber, which is one of three drops available. If you obtain the wrong one, fret not because this Boss also has a chance to drop Dream Solvents which allows you to go the Alchemy Bench and convert the wrong drop for the Everamber (you will have to collect 18 of them). In the unfortunate case you are not in possession of a Dream Solvent, there is always next week to try again!

Lastly, if you really enjoy your Neuvillette to the point of wanting to bring its Talents to level 10, you will need a “Crown” for each talent you want to Maximize, (Normal Attack, Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst), for a total of 3.

Note: which talent to crown is fully up to you, Crowns are not easy to come by and usually only obtainable through some Events as well as leveling up the Regional Tree (ex: Dragonspine Tree, Inazuma Sakura Tree, Sumeru Tree of Dreams, Fontaine’s Fontaine of Lucine etc).
