After tons of delays, Cyberpunk 2077’s dystopian world has finally arrived. In this RPG, players assume the role of V as they make their way through the neon-drenched streets of Night City. Boasting a massive open-world, unique character customization options, and a whole range of ways to approach scenarios, almost every playthrough will be different. While there are a lot of different directions you can take your character in, one of the most popular is the Netrunner/Quickhack build. This revolves around using hacks to manipulate and control engagements, allowing you to swiftly eliminate targets.
Unfortunately, you can only use two of the many, many Quickhacks when you’re just starting out. Thankfully, this can be changed once you change as you progress through Cyberpunk 2077’s campaign.
How to Increase Your Quickhack Mod Slots
Simply put, you can gain more mod slots for your Cyberdeck by having a new Operating System installed into V. Tied to the Ripperdocs, head to any of these body modification vendors, and speak to them. Once they bring up the menu displaying V’s body, selecting Operating System on the right side. This will open a separate menu where you can examine the different systems available for you to purchase, along with ones you probably cannot unlock yet. While some Operating Systems like the Stephenson Tech Mk.2 don’t require a specific Attribute level, the rarer, more powerful ones will. Once you purchase a new Operating System, simply have the Ripperdoc install it and then enter your character’s inventory screen. For those wondering, the one shown in the image above is located in Japan Town near Jig-Jig Street.
Go all the way down to the bottom right corner and select “Cyberdeck,” to bring up your selection of available Quickhacks. You should see a line of mod slots along the left side, so put in any of the mods you currently have available. You are only limited by the number of slots you have, so feel free to equip your favorite Quickhacks. Remember, this is the only way to increase your Quickhack mod slots, so don’t expect any perks to give you ones for free. A solid Epic-tier one will usually run you around 20,000 eddies, so if you’re trying to become a hacker start saving up!
As for Quickhacks, these can be purchased at any Netrunner shop in Night City. One of the best is in Pacifica, which is an area that unlocks later on in the game. Even if you’re not looking to make a hacker build, these can be quite beneficial in combat since they can blind enemies or even lock them in place! Don’t sleep on these just because you’re trying to stab everyone in Night City with a katana.

For those of you who haven’t kept up with everything, there’s been quite a trail left by the release of Cyberpunk 2077.
