V Rising Greater Blood Essence – How to Get Unsullied Hearts to Craft Greater Blood Essence
We’ve already talked about the importance of Blood Essence for the Castle Heart, but as you progress through the game, you’re going to reach a point where you’re going to need V Rising Greater Blood Essence. This material is used in some mid to late-game crafting recipes, so it’s not something you have to worry about during the first few hours. That being said, it’s key to know what to expect beforehand so you come in prepared.
As of now, there are two methods to get Greater Blood Essence in V Rising:
- Gather 4 Unsullied Hearts, which can drop from enemies above level 20 (the higher the level, the greater the chances) and craft Greater Blood Essence at the Blood Press
- Defeat Tristan the Vampire Hunter to gain the Greater Blood Essence crafting recipe, which requires 200 Blood Essence as well as the Blood Press
Tristan the Vampire Hunter is part of the V Blood carriers crew, introducing himself as a level 46 boss. As such, it’s going to take you a while to actually stumble upon him and be able to survive the fight. I recommend focusing on fighting V Blood carriers from level 20 and beyond as you progress through the game. If you stumble upon any of them that you’ve beaten before while you’re out exploring, go ahead and take them down again, as you may get lucky and get the material.
Unlike regular Blood Essence, Greater Blood Essence is used in crafting, especially around Servant Coffins. This is a mid to late-game feature that allows you to have NPC servants, which is pretty fucking cool if you ask me. But as you can see, it’s not an easy lift, and it’s going to take a while.
That’s all you need to know to get V Rising Greater Blood Essence for yourself. Just remember to take care of your Castle Heart so nobody can steal the material from your base.
