Stardew Valley follows four seasons, and in those seasons, some crops are significantly better to grow than others. It all depends on whether you want to grow a lot of crops quickly or you want to earn the maximum amount of money. This guide will explain which crops are the best to grow in the Fall in Stardew Valley.
Best Fall Crops in Stardew Valley
Sweet Gem Berries
It can be quite hard to get hold of the best crop to grow in the Fall in Stardew Valley. This crop is the Sweet Gem Berry. Grown from Rare Seeds purchased from the Traveling Cart, once you plant this seed, you’ll then have to wait a whopping 24 days for it to grow.
Growing Sweet Gem Berries is a long-term investment, and it may take you years to have a full patch of these crops. That being said, should you be able to grow them, they’ll earn you 3,000 gold at a base price and 6,000 gold if you have an epic crop.

Cranberries
Another fantastic crop to grow in the Fall is Cranberries. Somewhat of a must for a successful farm, this crop gives you multiple yields, as it takes 7 days for the first yield and then only 5 days for every other yield. That being said, in order to grow them, you’ll need to invest 240 gold per seed. This can be quite expensive, especially in the first year.
That being said, once you’ve started growing them, the profit makes the investment worth it. Selling for a base price of 75 gold up to 150 gold for an epic crop, they can make you a lot of money. Alternatively, you can get an even better price for them if you have the Tiller skill. This makes the prices range from 82 to 165.
Grapes
While Grapes don't make you the most money, you can turn this crop into Wine, which will give you even more gold. It will take a long time to make the Wine, but it’s worth it in the long run. Grapes are another crop that has multiple yields throughout the month, so they are a great crop to grow for consistency. The base sell price for Grapes is 80 gold to 88 gold (Tiller skill), and epic crops go for 160 gold to 176 gold.
While they do take 10 days to grow for the first yield, they then produce crops every 3 days after that, making them a great way to earn quick gold.
Depending on what fruit you use, every Wine will have a different earning. The general rule is that it is 3x of the base fruit value. Using Grapes as an example, Wine values can range from 240 to 480 gold. If they are Artisan wine, it increases to 336 up to 672 gold.

Pumpkins
Pumpkins are a classic crop to grow in the Fall in Stardew Valley and are one of the most profitable crops that you can grow this time of year. They have one of the highest gold returns per unit, so they are really worth investing in. On top of that, if you’re restoring the Community Center, they are vital.
Taking 13 days to grow, they will then sell for 320-352 gold at a base level and a whopping 640-704 gold at an epic quality.
These are ultimately the best crops to grow in the Fall in Stardew Valley. All of the crops listed above can earn you a pretty penny, so make sure to grow in abundance if you’re looking to get a lot of money!
