Best Summer Crops in Stardew Valley

Summer is one of the best seasons to grow crops in Stardew Valley. Here's our top crops list!

Summer is one of the best seasons for crop growth and profit in Stardew Valley. While Spring and Fall are also quite profitable, you can grow some fantastic crops in the Summertime, and you really want to make sure you use Summer to the best of your ability.

Here are the best crops you can grow in Summer in Stardew Valley.

Best Summer Crops in Stardew Valley

Radishes

Starting off with Radishes, they are one of the best starter crops that you can grow in summer. They don’t take long to grow at all, with a growth time of six days. On top of that, the seeds are very cheap as they only cost 40 gold at Pierre’s store.

They sell at a base price of 90 (99 if you have the Tiller trait) and can sell up to 180 to 198 gold at an epic quality price.

Hot Peppers in Stardew Valley

Hot Peppers

Hot Peppers are another great crop to grow, as they take five days to grow, and then you can harvest them every three days after that. While they don’t sell for a tonne of money, it can be handy to have some crops that have continuous growth to hand. Equally, if you’re trying to befriend or romance Shane, Hot Peppers is a fantastic gift for him.

Not only this, but Hot Peppers are also used in the Community Center bundle, so they have plenty of uses all around.

In terms of profit, they don’t sell for much at all. They sell at the same price you bought them at, which is a whopping 40 gold. At an epic quality, you can get 80 gold for them.

Blueberries in Stardew Valley

Blueberries

Blueberries are a staple crop to grow in summer. Not only do you plant them once, and then they will continue to yield every four days, but you get multiple Blueberries from one plant, meaning one singular plant can become quite profitable. You can expect to get at least three Blueberries from each plant, which sell for a base of 50 to 55 gold.

At an epic quality, you can sell them for up to a whopping 110 gold per Blueberry!

The only flaw with the Blueberry plant is that it takes an initial 13 days to grow, so you’ll be waiting a while for that profit to roll in.

Red Cabbages in Stardew Valley

Red Cabbage

Red Cabbage is a great crop that you can grow in the Summer, and it can be super profitable. They sell for a great base price, and they have some fantastic Artisanal prices if you put them into a Keg.

Not only that but Red Cabbages are used for the dye bundle in the Community Center, so you’ll want to make sure you get your hands on at least one of these!

When it comes to growing Red Cabbage, you’ll have to fork out 100 gold per seed. However, you make more than double that in profit, even at a base price. The base price of Red Cabbage sits at a comfortable 260 to 286 gold. At an epic quality, you can sell a single Red Cabbage for 520 to 572 gold!

If you decide you want to make Red Cabbage juice, you can sell it for a base price of 585 gold, up to a whopping 819 gold. Alternatively, you can turn it into pickled Red Cabbage, which sells for 570 gold at base price and 798 gold at an Artisanal price.

Melon

Melons have a substantial growth time of 12 days, meaning you’ll only be able to grow them twice in the whole season. That being said, they make a great profit. They only cost 80 gold, and once they’ve grown, you can sell them for a base price of 250 gold to 275 gold. At an epic quality, they can make you 500 gold to 550 gold.

Not only do they sell well as a crop, but you can also use them for artisanal purposes, such as turning them into wine or jelly. Should you make wine with the melons, you can net a profit of up to 1,500 gold or 2,100 gold at an epic quality. If you make jelly, you can make 550 to 770 gold!

Starfruit

While you can’t get this seed until later in the game, Starfruits are a great crop to grow in the summertime. The seeds do come at a rather hefty price of 400 gold, and take 13 days to grow, but once you sell them, it will most definitely be worth your time and money.

At a base price, you can sell them for a comfortable 750 to 825 gold. At an epic quality, you can sell them for 1,500 to 1,650 gold!

You can make an even bigger profit with Starfruit if you are to use them for Artisanal crafts, such as wine and jelly. Wine is much more profitable than jelly, but both are great. Starfruit wine sells for a base price of 2,250 to 3,150 gold, all the way up to 4,500 to 6,300 gold!

Starfruit jelly sells for 1,550 to 2,170 gold.

These are some of the absolute best crops that you can grow in Stardew Valley in the Summertime! You’re bound to make a huge profit by growing some of the crops on this list. Happy farming.
