How to Get the Knapsack Fashion Accessory in FFXIV

Glamour as a gleaner with this Knapsack!

Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.55 added one new Fashion Accessory for Warriors of Light to use. The newly added Fashion Accessory is the Knapsack, a backpack that seems to be modeled after those worn by the Gleaners of Sharlayan.

On the back of the Warrior of Light, the Knapsack becomes more akin to an adventurer's pack, showing you're ready for anything. If you're looking to show off your sense of adventure, here's how to get the Knapsack Fashion Accessory for yourself.

How to unlock the Knapsack Fashion Accessory in FFXIV

The Knapsack Fashion Accessory can be unlocked by completing all Main Story Quests (MSQ) added in Patch 6.55. Upon completing the final quest, "The Coming Dawn," you'll receive the Knapsack Fashion Accessory as a reward, along with 1,820 gil.

Once unlocked, the Knapsack can be equipped via the Fashion Accessories screen located in the Character section of the HUD's main menu. At the time of writing, you can't wear the Knapsack alongside other Fashion Accessories like parasols or glasses.

Since Patch 6.4, Fashion Accessories such as wings, glasses, and others have been able to be used in combat, and the Knapsack is no exception. However, the Knapsack, like other Fashion Accessories, takes the place of your minion, so you'll have to choose between an adorable companion and a stylish accessory when heading out on your next adventure.

The addition of the Knapsack might indicate that the upcoming expansion, Dawntrail, will be a haven for Fashion Accessories. With Fashion Accessories becoming more available in the MSQ, it's easy to imagine the items could be used more during the expansion and become a more common reward as FFXIV continues adding more content.
