Wyvern Horn Overview

Details

This heavy horn emits a bellowing blare that summons your trained wyvern mount.

Attributes

Some mounts in Final Fantasy XIV have straightforward requirements, either being rewarded directly after completing an achievement or dropping randomly from chests in particular Duties. Other mounts, like the Wyvern, can be elusive, hidden behind currencies you may not have known existed if you didn't know where to look.

The Wyvern mount isn't entirely accessible to get, though its lack of accessibility doesn't equate to difficulty. The Wyvern requires particular tokens instead of using a currency easily acquired by the various activities that reward them. Because of this, many players could go unaware that they've had the capability to earn the mount, leaving a hole in their collection that could have easily been filled.

How to unlock the Wyvern mount in FFXIV

The Wyvern is tied to Heavensward and Stormblood's Hunt system, specifically their Centurio Seals. While you can't redeem the mount with Centurio Seals directly, you instead require a token known as a Clan Mark Log. You can purchase these logs from Ardolain in Foundation (X: 13.1, Y: 11.9) inside The Forgotten Knight. When speaking to Ardolain, the Clan Mark Logs are found within the "Exchange Centurio Seals (Advanced)" menu for 500 Centurio Seals each.

You'll need six Clan Mark Logs total, translating to a whopping 3,000 Centurio Seals. Gathering enough Centurio Seals requires having either Heavensward or Stormblood hunts unlocked, though you'll need to unlock the former to access the menu to purchase the logs.

After earning the required Centurio Seals and exchanging them for the six Clan Mark Logs, head to Idyllshire to find Bertana (X: 5.9, Y: 5.2) inside Rowena's Center for Cultural Promotion. From here, select the "Uncanny Knickknacks" option to find the Wyvern Horn and exchange your Clan Mark Logs.
