Give the gift of PvP death this holiday season…

Prepare those glamours, sync that queue, and get ready for some seasonal slaughter as some of EU Final Fantasy XIV's biggest PvP communities team up for Shiva’s Starlight Shatter. To celebrate the season, the eu:Frontline community, in collaboration with EU:PVP and PvP Revival are organizing a special Christmas-themed Frontline queue sync on Dec. 22.

News of the FFXIV community PvP event was announced on multiple Discord servers on Dec. 1, along with details about the event. Dressed in winter or Christmas-themed attire players from these PvP community will queue sync Fields of Glory (Shatter) from 8pm GMT (12pm PST) for up to five matches.

“We're thrilled to announce a surprise Christmas-themed event happening soon. Spearheaded by eu:FL, in collaboration with us and EU:PVP, we are introducing a Christmas-themed frontline queue sync! Get ready in your winter or Christmas-themed outfits because we'll be playing on the Field of Glory (Shatter) map," the announcement said.

Each match will have a special objective not related to normal Frontline matches. These are currently:

  • Match 1: Mid-only massacre
  • Match 2: Focus on killing players
  • Match 3: Focus on licking ice
  • Match 4: Anything goes
  • Match 5: Black Mage only (unconfirmed)

After the final match, there’ll be screenshots and gposing to celebrate the event.

To join, jump into either the eu:Frontline, EU:PVP, or PvP Revival Discords, or just accept the invite to the event. Then, on Dec. 22, turn up to the Wolves' Den on Shiva on the Light Data Center.

These types of events are perfect for beginners at PvP and seasoned veterans alike, so don’t let your PvP experience put you off joining. The PvP community is very welcoming (despite being entirely geared around killing other players for fun). Plus it’s a perfect excuse to break out a seasonal glamour for more than just AFK-ing in Limsa. Keep your eyes on the PvP Revival Twitter/X for more details.
