You can earn the Corsair’s Wrath from Crow rank-up packages or by completing Wrathborn Hunts with any Prey Lure that lists this weapon as a reward. At the time of writing this, you will only have four options for bosses to hunt and what they award is randomized after each completion. This means you won’t always have a chance to earn the Corsair’s Wrath when participating in a Wrathborn Hunt. However, when this weapon does appear you can narrow down what perks you want via different trophy mods. These are earned by either purchasing them from Crow or completing various activities throughout Destiny 2. We suspect once the season gets going, you’ll have more opportunities and options for farming this linear fusion rifle.

For the PVE roll, you’ll want to look for either Arrowhead Brake or Chambered Compensator. The former focuses almost entirely on recoil control while the later distributes some bumps to multiple stats. Both are good, so it entirely depends if you feel comfortable enough to control Corsair’s Wrath’s kick. This also depends on what platform you’re playing, as those on console may want to select Arrowhead over everything since managing recoil on sticks is a little trickier than on a mouse. Additionally, Enhanced Battery is the optimal choice for PVE since it gives us more shots in the magazine, which is always great when damaging bosses or other powerful enemies from afar.
Our first primary perk chances aren’t superb, so we are going for Outlaw to give us a reload speed buff. Since our base reload stat is a lowly 30, Outlaw greatly compensates for this issue as long as you land precision final blows. As for our final perk, I suggest High-Impact Reserves to up our damage potential when combined with Enhanced Battery. It’s not that Thresh isn’t good, but this perk is better suited to a primary weapon rather than one you’ll use almost exclusively on bosses or majors.

Our pick for the best PVP roll is a little more straightforward. First, we want Arrowhead Brake to have better recoil control when battling enemies from afar. This synergizes with No Distractions, allowing us to still accurately strike Guardians even when under fire. It’s a great perk combination to have, especially if you frequently find yourself dueling others with this weapon out. Accelerated Coil’s reduced charge time bonus also benefits from this recoil control, since it lets us fire multiple rounds without the gun shifting too much off-target. Both are key for this weapon, giving it a strong foundation for your other perks.
We mentioned No Distractions above, but Killing Wind is also a suitable choice. However, this relies on you hitting and killing multiple Guardians with a single Heavy brick. If you don’t feel like you can consistently pull this off then No Distractions or even Moving Target are better options. Finally, we are going to make a bit of an unorthodox pick and go with Quickdraw. Yes, Thresh and Unrelenting are both great, but Quickdraw simply allows us to engage our enemies faster. In a game where movement is key, you’ll want to win most of your duals against those running snipers or other long-range weapons.
