Destiny 2 The Title God Roll Guide - Updated 2024 Perk Pool

The best PVE and PVP god rolls for The Title SMG for the updated 2024 perk pool from the Destiny 2 Guardian Games.

Destiny 2’s Guardian Games event is finally back with Season of the Wish and brings a selection of great weapons to choose from for guardians. One of the returning rewards is The Title submachine gun with a refreshed perk pool. This 750 RPM Aggressive Frame SMG hasn’t seen much love due to its stats and perks in previous years but it sports some interesting combos this time around. While it’s unlikely to be among the best SMGs in the sandbox, it still packs quite the punch and can now more easily lean into Void builds.

How to get The Title in Destiny 2

As usual with the Guardian Games, you’ll earn most of your drops by completing Contender Cards for Eva Levante in the Tower. You’ll be able to choose from Gold, Platinum, and Diamond tiers of Cards with the higher tiers naturally translating to more and better loot. Diamond Cards in particular are limited to only 3 cards per week: one from end-game PVE and PVP each and one acquired from Twitch Drops by watching a Destiny 2 stream for two hours.

Alongside the Contender Cards, you’ll also receive rewards for participating in Guardian Games activities and completing their weekly accompanying quests. You’ll receive your first quest, Shoot to Score, from Zavala and it’ll require you to get medals and points in the Nightfall playlist. The second quest, Vying for Supremacy, on the other hand, requires playing in either the Crucible’s Supremacy playlist or the Gambit playlist tied to the event.

By getting high scores in the PVE (Nightfall) and PVP (Supremacy & Gambit) playlists, you’ll be able to unlock up to four tiers of weekly chests in the Tower for each of the quests. These chests will reward you with loot and materials as well as buffs to make achieving higher scores possible.

On top of all that, every few hours, one of the Guardian Games All-Stars playlists (remember, Nightfall, Supremacy, or Gambit) will be the Focus Activity which you’ll be able to see in your Director. Playing a Focus Activity unlocks up to three tiers of reward packages that go from bronze to silver to gold, with better prizes for each tier. There’s one more package, the Champions Package, that (as you can imagine) will go to the class that dominates the Focus Activity by earning the highest scores. The Champions Package will fill the Medallion Case, not including Diamond Medallions.

This way, you’ll be gaining medallions at an even faster rate compared to otherwise. More medallions naturally mean more loot and who doesn’t like more loot?

The Title PVE God Roll

SMGs live and die by their reload speed in PVE so it’s always worth investing your stat points into that if possible. Flared Magwell is a great baseline bump to that but when combined with Threat Detector, you can potentially even pass on running a Loader mod on your gauntlets.

Threat Detector with Surrounded is a classic combo and it always performs really well on SMGs. However, it’s also a pretty common perk combination so if you’re running a Void build, you might want to consider replacing Threat Detector with Repulsor Brace for improved survivability. You can also go with Destabilizing Rounds if you don’t happen to be on a Void build but losing Surrounded drops the gun’s lethality enough that I wouldn’t really bother.

  • Smallbore or Fluted Barrel
  • Flared Magwell (reload speed) or High-Caliber Rounds (enemy stuns)
  • Threat Detector (build agnostic) or Repulsor Brace (Void synergy)
  • Surrounded (build agnostic) or Destabilizing Rounds (Void Synergy)
  • Reload Speed or Stability or Range Masterwork

The Title PVP God Roll

Honestly, I’m not even going to bother with this. The Title has got to be one of the least appealing PVP choices that I’ve seen in quite some time. I’ll recommend two options if you want to make it work but I don’t see it becoming anyone’s daily driver.

The first option is a more classic PVP option with either Swashbuckler or Collective Action as the only really usable “consistency” perks in the last column which you can then pair with Dynamic Sway Reduction or Perpetual Motion in the third column.

The second option is if you really hate Titans in particular and want to have something to hot-swap to in case it’s needed. Deconstruct with the Hakke Breach Armaments will shred through barricades and other constructs with ease.

  • Smallbore or Hammer-Forged Rifling or Extended Barrel
    • Only run Extended Barrel with a Handling exotic like Peacekeepers, you can also forgo the Counterbalance Stock mod in favor of a different one
  • Ricochet Rounds or High-Caliber Rounds
  • Dynamic Sway Reduction or Perpetual Motion
  • Deconstruct (hot-swap weapon choice) or Collective Action or Swashbuckler
  • Range or Stability Masterwork
